I bet it will be a lot like afcon where most of the group stage sucked because the players went from their league to starting the competition in just a couple of days.

There will be a mid-season break for the 3033 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Sticking to my guns and won’t be watching a single second of it.
Ridiculous location, ridiculous schedule. Eight days from the WC final to the first epl game, what kind of break is that for players who get to the final?

Premier League Teams.
2022/2023
------------
AFC Bournemouth
Arsenal
Aston Villa
Brentford
Brighton & Hove Albion
Chelsea
Crystal Palace
Everton
Fulham
Leeds United
Leicester City
Liverpool
Manchester City
Manchester United
Newcastle United
Nottingham Forest
Southampton
Tottenham Hotspur
West Ham United
Wolverhampton Wanderers

I personally do not like Arsenal to be placed top of anything good so I deliberately elevated Bournemouth there with their own AFC prefix.

Arsenal Football Club aren't the top London club in the league. They aren't even the top AFC in the league.

I know he's no longer a PL player but this did make me laugh.

Could Sissoko have chosen a more fitting picture?

I wouldn’t be surprised if Villa struggle. Gerrard has lost Beale to qpr and he’s meant to have done all the work.

Got Neil Critchley to replace him though, who was Liverpool youth manager and has done well with Blackpool. Might work out alright.

No December 28/29 fixtures this year post World Cup.

This might be a bit of a hot take, but I'm starting to think the World Cup turnaround is starting to get overblown. The league restarts on the 26th. Most players in the league aren't playing in the World Cup. Half of the teams will be done by the 2nd. And if you don't make the semifinals you're done by the 10th.

Unless England makes the semifinal again, you're probably talking about 10 to 15 PL players who will have played after the 10th. And if England makes it, then maybe guys like Kane will need to take the 26th off and come back for New Years.

The 4th round of the Carabao is scheduled for 20/21 December also
