This has been annoying me a for a while. At the end of the game a majority of the players just head straight down the tunnel.
Yesterday our support was fantastic. At home, I agree with many prior posts on here it has not been so great. However neither have the performances at the Lane.
Football is a fickle game and I understand why a player may not want to applaud the same people who moments earlier were chanting derogatory comments but each week we turn up in our thousands, our away support rarely has an empty seat and for most travelling up and down the country, albeit a choice, is a vast expense. It would just be nice to see all 11 players, 7 subs and the coaching staff come over and show their appreciation - win, lose or draw.
I am not naming any particular player but we know the ones that do and we certainly notice the ones that head straight down the tunnel.
Ferguson, for what it is worth, is widely regarded as the best manager the Premier League has ever seen, but he always made a habit of getting his players to go over and clap the fans. I am not blaming Poch, but someone needs to take the responsibility. Will it make me stay away - no. Perhaps that is the problem.
