And again today nothing from the players. No only no recognition of the fans before kick off, nothing after the game (ok the boos were loud but even so face up to it) and as for the actual game ... passion, fight, determination, pride.... A proud day for the Bill Nick family ..

I've said it in another thread, Sir Bill must be spinning in his grave if he witnessed todays 2nd half performance.

I think it's symptomatic of the fundamental disconnect which has come about between the club and the fans, and the players and management and the fans specifically.

That's a consequence of our player trading strategy of replacing anyone in the squad with personality and commitment with faceless robots, and of simply buying far too many players and selling anyone who's been here for more than 5 minutes.

It also doesn't help when you have a manager who appears to be completely emotionless - the reaction to the Lamela goal was incredibly disappointing for me - one thing I did appreciate with AVB and to an extent Harry was their obvious happiness when we scored a goal. How can you just sit there looking like you don't care. I don't see how that's possible.

i think this should be the place to comment about this
- watched the game on telly and then after united vs chelsea.

it used to be where our fans were one of the loudest and supportive. and united were the prawn sandwich brigade.

have the tides turned?

we were so quiet. doesn't seem like anybody was egging the team on for the last 15-20 minutes...

They should all be made to come over to the fans and bow like the Japanese players do!

Just clapping the support when they lose or pumping fists when we win.

:D

Our lot should be put in stocks whilst the stewards carry round boxes of rotten fruit for the fans to throw at them .

Maybe Levy would go for the idea if he thought he would make a few quid from selling the fruit .

Do players ever thank the home fans after a loss? What are you supposed to do, go round applauding when everyone's booing?

Away is different, win or lose, you should head to the away support and thank those who have made the often expensive journey.

It would be nice for the players to acknowledge the fans before kick off after they come out of the tunnel. The Goons, Utd, Scousers all line up on the half way line and turn to all four corners. Out lot do a few high fives to each other, get in a huddle and then....
