They aren't paying 30. Option just gets him off the wage bill this season, at least we hope they are paying 100% of the wages.
Let's see if there's some clauses but I suspect at 30 there isn't.

The mandatory transfer if they qualify for Champions league next season is not being reported anymore or did I imagine that in the first place?

I also think he will do well there but I am always optimistic the penny will drop with him at some point

Good move for him. Always liked Napoli.
On a side note Kvaratskhelia who we were linked with last summer as a Gil alternative scored and assisted on his debut for them. Looked really good.

I certainly think Ndombele could do well there in their tactics. But I do worry about his fitness being an issue especially now.

Napoli will have a seriously talented CMs in Anguissa and Ndombele and hard-working CMs in Zielinski and Lobotka and they generally play a 433, so will they'll be a interesting team to watch this season.

Having a free role in a 4-3-3 is (IMO) basically the way you get the best out of him. Hopefully he gets the latitude he needs and tears it up out there

Good luck, Tanguy! Really hope this move works out for you and that you can express yourself in matches for Napoli at your very best.

I'm not concerned about the money side of things, I am sure the club have worked out the finances on this deal.
I also think TN will do well in Italy so I've hope the deal will be completed and we can all move on from this. Time will tell though.
Its a shame that such a talent didnt work for us.

Shame those initial reports of a £13m deal dependant on CL have possibly dropped away. Anyone else think there was a mishearing about the figures 13 and 30 could sound pretty similar in a different accent?

Agreed. But hopefully he at least does well enough so that Napoli (or any other team) next summer are willing to take him on a permanent (at whatever price that then can be agreed).

Told the Napoli deal is about as good as we could hope for. Not sure on the details, but there are clauses that trigger an obligation. (y)

Not done yet but looks like it's happening.

Them paying "the main part" of his wages is surely about as good as it's going to get, considering the stupid money he's on.

If one of them is that they get top 4 I'm optimistic. They have a strong squad and Spaletti will have them playing good football.
