They paid about 17 million for McKennie. Shows how far Ndombele has fallen

Can't see Levy sanctioning a straight swap deal given how much we paid for Ndombele regardless of how poor he has been but possibly if Bayern are also interested this may put some pressure on them to make a realistic offer?

Come on stat boys. We know we lost loads of points last season from positive positions in the latter moments of matches. How does this coincide with Ndombele playing for his customary 65 minutes before he started breathing out of his backside or had to be subbed?

It’s what happens when you play with a passenger for the last half hour in a team like Mourinho’s, holes appear, you have to work.

I wish I had the guys talent, what a waste. I actually just want him out now.

Three managers have now all said the same thing, are any of us thinking Tanguy all of a sudden became a difficult player when we bought him?

As fans we are entitled to get excited about a new talented signing, but in this case somebody screwed up and it wasn’t the fans.

Same three managers played Winks as well so lets not use that statement :sneaky:

Oddly the guy hasnt downed tools, turns up to training and looks like he enjoys it, been honest about wanting to leave..but gets frozen out by a manager who has slightly double standards, and then gets a ton of crap from us.

Dissapointed as he has a ton of talent, maybe he just dosent like living in England

It doesn’t matter what they paid for him, we paid nothing for Harry Kane, it’s about what they’re worth now

Double standards? He’s been absolutely honest from the start. Ndombele is obviously enjoying training. So would I having a knockabout with my mates for £200,000 a week. When he gets properly fit and shows a good attitude to the manager then he’ll be welcomed into the fold I’m sure. As it stands Inter are interested in him - let’s get talking to them.

Depends if you're still paying for them.
Very much this. I imagine in Ndombele goes anywhere we'll want to at least cover the current payments owed whether it be for this year on loan or the remainder of the payment structure. Otherwise we're paying him to leave and in a swap deal him to leave plus someone to join plus agent fees etc.

Levy would jump at it if it's a player we want.

At the moment we are getting zero value for the 200k a week we are paying.

Ndombele still has some name value at the moment and probably our only chance to shift him.

Sorry pal. I’m loving Nuno and his honesty, and sticking rigidly to his principles. It might turn out to be the wrong way to manage a football team these days but I find it refreshing. The players have had it their way too long.

Has this been posted?

As expected really, as we've gone a bit crap since he signed, but I assumed it was collectively.

Tanguy will be begging us to take him back the moment he finds out about Bayern's training regimen

It's been posted and posted and argued and posted again and argued and posted again.

Remember that one time we were all sharing those with and without Kane stat images and everyone was like "lol we are better without Kane!" when he got injured under Jose and then we proceeded to lose or barely draw basically every game until COVID saved us as the entire squad crumbled as well? That was fun. Context matters.

Wonder how a swap deal would be recognized in the accounts (which surely will be important for Levy)?

Obviously the portion of the Ndom transfer fee which has not yet been amortized would be a P/L cost, so I guess it comes down to whatever value we would put on McKennie in the B/S. Because if we would (hypothetically) value him at the same amount as Ndom’s current B/S value, it should presumably be a wash (both in the B/S and the P/L). Whether such a valution could be supported or not is of course another matter.
