Wow the comments in here are just, wow.

Some of you really need to wake up and smell the coffee. This isn't FIFA lads.

Has he had fitness problems? Yes. Can they be fixed? Ofcourse, he wouldn't be a professional footballer if he couldn't get fit. This is one of those situations were patience is key. Unfortunately that is like extracting water from a rock in this place.

Agree, the key to this will be whether he wants to stay and put in the work needed. It’s unfortunate that his style of play seems very easy going i.e he doesn’t tear around so it sometimes seems like he doesn’t care. It never is good though when you keep hearing news that his camp are singing like canaries to all that will listen to say he wants to leave.
If he is willing to give his all then I hope we keep him. If that’s not the case it’s probably best to go...

People need to calm down about Ndombele. The talk as if hes the saviour of Tottenham is stupid because we've had him a whole season and hes done very little for Tottenham in our worst season for 6 years.

He looks extremely talented but the team is bigger than one player and even if hes sold goes onto become a great player in a foreign league thats ok too, providing we get a lot of money and can strengthen in other areas. The Ndombele fans who are going to read this and think hes amazingly talented and we can't afford to let him go because he could be trans-formative need to remember the season he just had which one of flashes of brilliance, some laziness off the ball and niggling injuries. Thats the evidence base we have for him and hes not a kid, hes 24 at the end of the year.

The hysteria around this one player is reminiscent of Ozil and Pogba, its very annoying.

Not for me but I'm not sure Mourinho has the patience for Ndombele.

Im amazed anyone does. He’s had more than enough patience. £60m, £200k a week and he can’t even get himself fit enough to play a full 90 minutes Not once but not even a run of games. What if next season is exactly like the last one (he’s shown nothing to prove it won’t be), his value will plummet even further and we will struggle to get anything like what we paid for him.

That is utterly ridiculous for a top level sports man if you think about it for a moment. The first part of being a player is being fit enough to play and he can’t do that. It’s utterly unbelievable the slack he gets. He’s talented but it’s just not worth it.

Club should have Son talking to Tanguy about how he struggled in his first season and how he wanted out... and how happy he is now to have stayed.

If the rumors are true about Ndombele’s wages, I’m shocked his agent is trying to rush him out the door.. he won’t be making that at his next club.

Son had a severe case of plaisir fasciitis though which meant he couldn’t play without pain and that’s why he struggled. Once he was over that he was back to the player he was before we signed him. Unless Ndombele has an undiagnosed injury it’s not really similar.

the state of you willing to sell one of our most talented because he hasn't come to fruition in less than a year yet club continues not winning a major trophy in decades

Question for those of you desperate for us to keep him - what should we do if he has another season like the one he's just had? Probably after another season like this, we'll be looking at, what, £15m from a desperate midtable club willing to take a punt?

IMO we'd be lucky to get £40m plus now (and should bite the hand off of anyone prepared to overlook the season he's just had and pay us that).

I keep hearing how talented he is, but if he can't be arsed/doesn't want to be here, there's no point keeping him.

It's not just the fee.

It's the wages he is on too.

If our second highest paid player is not getting on the pitch he should go

I reckon there’s no smoke without fire. No application irrespective of talent. Bad egg. We need to cut our losses.

Romano's source could come from Inter's side or agents, whereas Dan's source might come from our side. There isn't necessarily a contradiction here (e.g. initial approach, but no deep negotiation)

While it could be true, it could also be a ploy to get purchasing clubs to pay more.

Im actually bored of him, he’s taking the piss out of all of us. If we can sell him to fund other pressing areas of the squad I say do it. (Unless it means sissoko stays, then I’m more than willing to give him another year ?).

dragon1 on COYS (about Ndombele) '
Player is overweight and refuses to train properly , Jose would love to sell and use the money

we payed 42 plus 10 in potential bonuses , there is no way he leaves for one cent under what we paid

daniel in two minds what to do, if a big bid of 45 plus comes in I think he goes '

Glad for this if true. He could be a world beater given a less turbulent time to find form and fitness.

Time to find form and fitness? The guy has been at a club with some of the best training facilities in the world for a year. For the £200k a week we're paying him, I think we can at least expect him to get in the gym and get in shape.
