“Premier league football is grueling”
How can you say that about N’Dombele? He hasn’t played often enough to find it grueling and was out of shape when he did play - so couldn’t handle the little stress he underwent!

What world did he inhabit that kept him from knowing about the speed & physicality of the EPL? Kind of suggests he didn’t care to face the challenge.

Sorry, for me, his lack of physical fitness was unprofessional & a disgrace.

we can only hope that he’s realized all this & will come back the better for it!

Great, so you have looked at him, and decided he is unfit to the point being unprofessional. Yet he remains in the club’s plans and has the support of the manager. Have you seen the size and shape of props in Rugby Union or Big Billy Vunipola? Size and body shape aren’t the only indicator of fitness.

Plenty of players take time to adapt to the pace of the premier league, they come from leagues where the intensity level, such as that speed you are closed down reduces drastically, that takes time to get used to. Didn’t see many problems with his fitness when he was running the show against Norwich.

But let’s all keep supporting our record signings by calling him a mentally weak fatty, because hey I’m sure your an absolute physical specimen with mentality of a SAS commando. Once again, some people prove that they are absolute spunk trumpets

Does it matter? We have had plenty of players rushed back under Pochettino only to play terribly until they pick up another injury. Take Kane for example. The lad needs to recover properly and feel like he has recovered otherwise he will just keep injuring himself. It’s all well and good to say, blood and thunder, etc. However the reality of it is that premier league football is gruelling. For example, It claimed Ledley’s knees, Torres fitness, so on and so forth.

If you want to see him tear up this league you have to accept that he needs to get up to speed and feel like he can impose himself.

Besides Kane (who I imagine was banging Poch’s door down to play), Poch literally never ‘rushed players back from injury’.

No idea where you’ve dreamt up that idea from.

Winks, Eriksen, Alli, Sissoko all cane back early from injury early

They “cane back early from injury early”?
:cautious: :rolleyes::LOL:

They really didn’t. Poch was always extra careful in bringing injured players back into the team. If you think otherwise, you weren’t keeping up.

Lots of revisionism when it comes to Poch.
