The problem is that I don't think he can play in a 4-2-3-1. He doesn't produce enough to play as an ACM and I think his positioning isn't good enough to play CM/DM. He will probably fit in a 4-3-3, but should we change system for one player? I don't think so.

Lo Celso was with the team yesterday, Højbjerg posted a photo of all the players together after the match and he was clearly in it. Ndombele was not.

While I’d be matched to give up on Ndombele, a team definitely needs to be designed to get the best out of him and I think it needs to be up to the new manager whether or not he wants to do that. Based on what I’ve seen on the pitch I believe there’s reason to persist, but we don’t know what goes on behind closed doors and the fact that he, Aurier and Sissoko, who are all best mates, were nowhere for our final match of the season with kids on the bench instead speaks volumes.

So what exactly happened today with he and Lo Celso?

I don't think we have another choice than to give them both another season under a more progressive manager, but its absolutely last chance for both. They both need to step up massively next season. I have no idea what to think of either of them at this point.

13 goals/assists combined between the two of them in the last 2 premier league seasons.

Lets get rid of the likes of Winks and Sissoko first before we worry about Ndombele and Lo Celso

Let’s see who the new manager will be before do anything. He may want him.
Exactly, we've seen this so many times.

A players looks ill at ease in this league or team then a new manager comes in with a fresh approach towards integrating him (or her, stu)

Modric and Redknapp, Eriksen and Sherwood, Pochettino and Dembele etc.

The only issue may be that Mourinho really tried with N'Dombele, so it may be trickier than in other cases.

Sorry only just catching since yesterday. Whats all this about Ndombele, Sissoko and Aurier refusing to travel? Why would they do that?

I have similar thoughts on dele.

Let's see who the new manager is. I think dele is only really effective in the hole and if the new manager doesn't want to play like that may as well sell.

Same as tanguy. He isn't a player that will thrive in a double pivot and I don't think he is dynamic enough to play in the hole. As you say as part of a 3 would be the best solution - Same as lo celso but maybe not together.

The new manager has some interesting decisions to make.

they didn't
No injury were mentioned during the pre game press conference, then all three players got a knock at the same time. Sounds somethings going on behind the scenes. Maybe they got fed up with winks keeps getting picked by mason or maybe they didn’t like what Kane said in the interview that the team lacks leadership, either way it just showed that there are big problems in the team.

Ndombele is an enigma isn't he? Initially I though Jose was being a **** about him, then I realised he's probably right. He strikes me as a player someone like Harry Redknapp would get the best out of back in the day. "Put me arm round his shoulder init?" type of player. Needs to probably feel loved. Hasn't quite had that yet at Spurs. Perhaps the new manager will. If not, I believe he will move on and in a few years we'll be either wondering where he is or wondering why on earth we sold him. One of two extremes.

Ndombele left out of Euros squad.

Sissoko makes it though lol

Apparently Deschamps selects him because he's a positive dressing room influence amongst their squad, something he greatly values considering the toxic disharmony and shenanigans displayed by previous French teams

As someone said, let's deal with the real issues first yeah. Sell Winks and Sissoko, if we sign a new CM or two and all of a sudden Ndombele and Lo Celso are squad players, so be it, but these two shouldn't be going anywhere until the real rancid players are moved on.

And if we can't shift them?

I have this image of Sissoko, Winks and Dier all bursting out the doors to meet the new boss first and offer to take his bags for him, clean his car etc so they can curry favour early on

They all reported, along with Lo Celso, that they were suffering from knocks. Nothing serious, but serious enough to mean they couldn't play. Despite that, Lo Celso chose to travel with the squad, which the other three decided to stay at home. Make of that what you will.

Is that what we're going with yeah?, rumours...
