maybe I am old and think differently the current generation are a bunch of soft snowflakes ....
if you or I got a job abroad paying GOOD money do you think your new employer would let you get away with not being at your best after a very short settling in period (a month tops) ? You would be out on your ear ! Yet we sit here and make excuses for them... these are elite athletes who Should be able to adapt to new physicality's by training harder etc ...

Being an elite athlete is completely different to going abroad and doing a 9-5 elsewhere, it's laughable to even compare it.

Arguably the greatest player Britain has ever produced, and certainly the greatest striker, couldn’t hack 6 months in Italy, and that’s while he was actually playing and scoring at a very good rate. Don’t underestimate how difficult it is to adapt to other cultures as a young man.

Ndombele is an extremely talented footballer but he is not in the top 90% for fitness at the club. Even now his tracking back efforts are Stambouli esque but his forward work is so good. If we got him working with a personal fitness coach and a psychologist he would probably be in the top 3 players in his position in the league. His fitness is still pretty bad even now.

I thought you meant Gazza for a minute then :), it would have been an incredibly bad example

Why do you think he needs a psychologist?

The manager player relationship is a trust relationship. Ndombele felt like he didn't have Jose's trust and reacted badly to criticism. Hopefully this period of playing and praise and positive reinforcement will buy Jose more trust next time his form dips. Because every player will have dips and need to hear criticism - being receptive to it is the key.

He's playing well, moving the ball quickly. There were a few errors against United, getting caught on the ball that allowed a break to materialise in the first half - but they are things to iron out of his game through playing, learning the rhythm of the league.

You know who he is right?

That certainly would’ve been. But no, I meant Greaves, who despite scoring at an incredible rate it is well documented was miserable as hell over in Milan.
Do I know who Jimmy Greaves is? Why would you ask such a ridiculous question on a Spurs fan site?

Workrate.

Well distance covered probably isn't a good reflection, you can cover a lot of ground but it's no good unless you press and put a tackle in at the end of it.

You can get stats on whoscored for things like tackles, interceptions. Click on match report for the match you want, then match centre, then player statistics. You have tabs for offensive, defensive etc

Can you gif him tracking back against utd as well that is a good example. I forgive him though as on the ball he is electric and his passing makes us less predictable.

There’s no doubt he’s improved this season and his talent is obvious. He has a long way to go to be put in the same bracket of the top midfielders such as de Bruyne and Silva. He has all the attributes it’s down to him
