Mmm, I don’t think Serge should be a question mark at all. Even if he says he’s fine and wants to play I think I’d tell him to be with his family (if he can?) and come back for pre season later in the year.

Most seem resigned to him going but I'm not sure I share that.

I think Jose just wants a DM in besides him to trust him. I dont think it'll be instant either, maybe he'll play him against the weaker teams first to get him focused to the role. But I do expect that by xmas he will have featured much more regularly.

He hinted towards wanting to use Lo Celso further forward when he said they decided to play him deeper - I imagine due to his tenacity. I think they had the intention of using Ndombele but realised that he's a liability defensively and at least Lo Celso will stay disciplined. But I certainly think Jose wants him in an Oscar/Lampard role

He needs to join with Striker and attack the spaces inside the box and have to shoot a lot if he wants to play like oscar/lampard

Are we thinking legit injury or he really wants a move and doesn't want to risk himself the rest of the season?

I'd be amazed if Levy is prepared to sell a player after one season with a significant financial loss. Especially a record signing, and especially in a transfer market that will be heavily deflated by a global pandemic.

It's just irrational regardless if he's a Mourinho type of player or not.

Doesn't have to be a simple keep or sell. Could also do a 18-24 month loan which should help maintain his value especially if he goes on to excel elsewhere. I've seen enough to know he won't make it in the PL so we need to put an end to this latest clusterfuck in our transfer strategy.

I was talking about Lo Celso as the Oscar/Lampard type but because we have issues with Ndombele he's been asked to play a different role for now
