Make no mistake - Jose will keep putting the spotlight on Ndombele in order to deflect from his horrendous managing. Ndombele needs time. Every player cannot be Lo Celso, settling in within a few months of playing. Once the inevitable comes and he bins him off, we will be coming back to this thread in a few years' time screaming because he'll be absolutely world-class in another team, while Mourinho is chilling in some Chinese city earning 30 mil a year.

I wonder what Chelsea fans think when they see Lukaku, De Bruyne & Salah playing nowadays.

I really hope that the next time we miss out on a next big thing we want because we’ve seen a few clips on YouTube, we remember this situation.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m an optimist so I retain hope that Ndombele will turn it around next season and be the star we hope for, but as it stands he’s not been what we hoped despite being a very highly vaunted signing which the grand majority of this site was desperate for. Everyone loves the old ‘lessons learnt’ joke with Levy... perhaps lessons will be learnt on SC?

I doubt it.

Spurs is like the company I work for, where the only lesson learnt is that we don't learn from previous lessons learnt.

What exactly does Ndombele need time for? If it is just to adapt to the demands of the PL, then fine. But if it is to change his appalling lackadaisical attitude then how is time going to cure that?

I doubt it.

Definitely not, most football fans are transfer junkies and get the horn more from fantasy football type dealings and daydreaming about potential super squads and spending a few hundred million pounds than they do the actual game that happens out on the grass.

Hes not toxic because he is never positive about players. He is toxic because he creates enemies wherever he goes.

This isn’t an inevitable byproduct of success. Klopp, Guardiola and Zidane have all achieved significant success more recently than Mourinho without creating discord and upset. Maybe I’m sensitive to his recent words but his last three clubs all show a clear pattern ...
Seems to me Zidane certainly caused discord with Bale, so much so, as Bale seems not care whether he plays or he doesn’t, or doesn’t really put any effort in when he does play.

Yeh good point. Did Zidane ever publicly call Bale out like this ? Idk.

One important difference is that Zidane presided over 3 consecutive CL wins with Bale playing a crucial role in two of the finals. So Zidanes relationship with Bale might not have been happy but it was certainly effective.

Zidanes general handling of the dressing room at real has been exceptional, partly because he’s a bigger motherfucker than any of them and partly because he scored winning goals in a World Cup and champions league final. Mourinho didn’t command that respect (even if that was unfair). Zidane is a perfect fit for real.

Completely different situations with the 3 players you have mentioned.
With Ndombele it’s clearly attitude and fitness.
If he is still in this bad of shape/fitness come the end of preseason I want us to cut our losses and get shot

You remember when Guardiola literally gave a young Bayern Munich player a bollocking ON THE PITCH after the whistle right...?

I think you’ve hit the nail on the head with the sensitivity issue but you’re not even close to being the only one.

Ndombele didnt play bad at all actually he played well.If Winks would have played like NDombele played there would have been oooos and arrrrrhhs from Winks supporters. The thing is with NDombele he is such a great player with the ball you just want more from him. He didnt venture up much probably told by Mourinho to stay more compact so he can conserve his energy and it also saved the embarrassment of him labouring back. Still he did play well enough except we needed a spark and I fully believe NDombele can produce it if Mourinho could find him cover while he went forward.
It's fine complaining about NDombele (I think he should get fitter or really working harder on defensive parts of his game) but we also lack game changers. We have very few and NDombele definately has the quality to be one

Can you try that again Ron in English?

EDIT: Thanks I see you’ve edited it. Now it just reads like a load of rubbish but at least it’s legible.
