Quick, one of the stalkers check whether Ndombele usually favours red or blue and white underpants.

lol, no way Daniel Levy goes through all those negotiations with Lyon if he didn't have assurances that Ndombele would come and we could meet his personal terms.

https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2019/tottenham-agree-e72m-deal-with-lyon-for-tanguy-ndombele/

L’Équipe transfer guru Hugo Delom reports tonight that Lyon and Tottenham have fully concluded an agreement worth €72m for the transfer of Tanguy Ndombele – however, Spurs are yet to finalise personal terms with the French international.

The transfer includes €62m guaranteed, with a further €10m in bonuses. The agreement was concluded this weekend between Lyon President Aulas and his Tottenham counterpart Daniel Levy. The bonuses are understood to be easily attainable and relate to Spurs qualifying for the Champions’ League on multiple occasions.

Aulas’ objective this weekend was to conclude a deal that saw OL earn at least €60m guaranteed out of an eventual sale of Ndombele, which he has achieved.

Does this mean that Ndombele is joining Tottenham? Not necessarily – the player has not agreed personal terms yet with Spurs, and it would appear that he is wavering slightly.

Whilst Ndombele has been convinced by Mauricio Pochettino about Tottenham’s project, he is cautious about making a rapid decision. He believes that the Argentine tactician will progress his individual game. Whilst the broad brush contours of a contract with Ndombele have been agreed with Spurs for several weeks, there remain more specific details that are yet to be ironed out.

Meetings are expected to occur between the player’s representatives and Spurs in the coming hours to attempt to fully close the deal.

This element of doubt that remains opens the door to other European giants to shoot their shot in the coming hours. Neither PSG nor Juventus will be going after Ndombele, per Delom, with the former having decided that the Lyon man was not their priority and the latter deciding on a deal for Rabiot.

A surprise could come from Manchester United, according to Delom, but they still seem blocked from making a move because they have not yet resolved the future of Paul Pogba.

For Tottenham, the door is open, now they must conclude the signing.

The English GFFN article and associated tweets which 'translate' the L'Equipe article have massively over-exaggerated any negative elements of the French article.

Also, this is likely L'Equipe running with a significant exclusive for a significant storyline but still wanting to leave the door open to milk this story even further by having some "late drama."

It will be dotting 'I' s and crossing 'T' s... Anyone who thinks levy goes through all this work and time for the player to go nah, is off the reservation lol.

Bascially he has to sign the contract, terms of which will be pretty much all agreed.

I can't wait for this to be over, the last few pages have vindicated why I do in-fact fully endorse another plague.

Seems like GFFN are salty for whatever reason that Ndombele is (almost certainly) coming to us, or they're just trying to get more clicks.
