He's actually smiling. If it remains that way he would do well there.

May his smile continue.
Ahh bless those fans ?we were all like that a couple of years ago ? wait until they see him on the pitch and the lack of effort and fitness the guy has. Can only think it has got a lot worse , when was the last time he played a competitive match ?

He looks quite happy so, I’ll wish him well and hope it all works out. Particularly as I don’t want him back...
Didn’t know anything about him before he came to Spurs but feel £25-30m is about (and possibly always has been) his true value.

Getting sick of these types of posts.

Ability wise, if he applied himself and everything worked out he's a £100m midfielder.

I'm fine with people questioning his desire and effort, those who questioning his ability make ME question whether some of our fans even watch our games and watched him play or just jump on the same horse as others and just call him fat and lazy by default.

Without having an agenda to ridicule him at every opportunity. Watching him play when he was doing his thing was a joy to watch. I don't care what anyone says. He glided past players reminiscent of Dembele, had Modric like close control in tight spots and even picked out many good passes no one saw. He was technically one of the best midfielders we've ever had. He done things at times, on many occasions where I literally said "how's he done that?"

It hasn't worked out, that's fine, just sick of people calling him fat and a crap player.

Hes a bloody brilliant player who's heart isn't in it (atleast for us) it just didn't work.

Get over it.

It didn’t work out because he didn’t apply himself.

Ability wise you're correct, but if the player just can't be bothered to apply himself then his value is rated accordingly. At the moment he's much closer to £2.5m than £100M. He has brilliant skills but is a long long way from being a brilliant player. Thats why so many critical comments are posted and why he will go down as one of the biggest and expensive mistakes we've ever made on a transfer

To be fair though, he’s about as far away from a £100m player as he is a £2.5m player at this moment in time.
