Clear as day sess is a confidence player and is and has been very low on it ! Hopefully today helps build some and we see his true form

Played a good game against Norwich. He kept Aarons pegged back and unable to join the attack for 80 minutes of the game which was pretty good

For me it was very important for him to play well after his red v. Mura. This game will have cleared his mind.

Thought he did well. He’s a very intelligent player when he gets in a good position he always looks for the right ball instead of a hit and hope cross. Said it before if can stay fit I think he will oust Reguilon unless Reggy goes up another level.

Very true (y) , this was also reflected and re-iterated in Conte's post match presser, he gave him praise but stated confidence as key for Sess going forward, hopefully the game time he seems to be getting will aid in that aspect of his development, i do believe there is a proper player in him and hope we see it flourish with us.

Yeah I thought he noticeably tried to do a bit more with the ball when he had it against Norwich. In chances before he'd been happy to receive the ball, turn back and pass back. There was that one cross that he put in that was low and hard which I loved to see as they were the great crosses he was always putting in for Fulham.

Just a shame the reaction from some of our fans towards him when he did pick up that red.

Hopefully he can compete with Reguilon for the rest of the season and we can see how he has developed over the last year.

@Guntz spot on over in the match thread. Sessegnon kept Salah really really quiet. He was excellent 1v1 all evening and hopefully will push on from here.

A shame he was a little limited going forward and he got sloppy towards the end of his time on the field. Hopefully just tiredness.

Top defensive performance. Well done. Salah was nowhere the whole match.

I was concerned going into the game that he would struggle but he was really solid today. Would have had an assist if Kane was on-form. Only criticism is that once he's pressed he tends to panic, though that trait affects many of our players.

That was the player we all hoped we were getting when we signed him. Was a really great performance and totally proved me wrong - I thought he was a bit useless. Happy to continue to eat humble pie if he keeps this up.

He stays fit I’d have him in ahead of Reggy. He’s quick, he’s strong, he’s got height to defend at the back post, all those things help him in attack too and I think going by history he’s going to be more cold in front of goal than Reggy too. The wingbacks will get a lot of chances under Conte. I like Reggy but this kid has a much higher ceiling than him mainly due to the fact he’s a tall athletic lad and not built like an 8 year old ?

good on him kept Salah quiet, good going forward and bit of tenacity. Looked at home and top performance.

He is going to be a 'player' for us I am sure of that... Needs a bit more self belief, within the squad though, a shout today and he was in on goal, but the pass went wide right instead... Nice to see him getting good SC approval.

Give him a Conte pre-season and he'll be on fire next season. He's just missing a few percent that I'm convinced Conte will bring out of him.
