Whatever way you frame it, it was quite ridiculous. It's not even as if the second tackle was in a dangerous area. There are no extenuating circumstances.
I agree with this but I also think if he has other positive qualities for a wingback/LB then we should let this slide.

The first yellow was super fucking dumb and at the time it seemed so obvious he was going to work his way to a second. Don’t think I thought he’d do it like 15 minutes later, though.

I genuinely feel bad for him, it was a completely clueless thing to do, he’s only just come back from injury and then this

If the first yellow was 'super fucking dumb' I struggle to find words for the second. As you say, 15 minutes later he lunges into a 'foot up' tackle in a totally unnecessary area of the pitch. WTAF!! They acted up on every single bit of physical contact over both legs as well so the outcome was inevitable. Just a mind bogglingly bad bit of discipline which most likely cost us the match. I hope it sticks in his mind but still remain completely bemused as to why he did it in the first place.

we need to replace the whole recruitment department imo
Just watched first 10mins of AGs last post and its happening according to him. Whole recruitment structure being reviewed and revamped and, rather embarrassingly imo, brought up to the same level as other big clubs.
As I said, thats embarrassing imo because recruitment is THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT of the entire club. Without it everything else fails.

Another one that some here cling onto hoping he’ll come good. Yeah he’s young but he’s shown nothing so far that makes me believe he’ll make it as a top PL player. We need to be ruthless and if we get a decent offer for him I say sell ( along with quite a few others who’ve outstayed their welcome ).

Right, let's try this again...

Really excited to see more of his lad, his Spurs career starts on Sunday! ?

In all seriousness with 3 League games in 7 days he will get another chance. I just hope he doesn't try too hard and fuck up again.

His fouls last night were the actions of a rusty player a bit out of the pace of things.

I'm not going to hammer him for it. He's very young and only just returned.

We do need to see him more often though, so hopefully he can get some consistent game time. Conte needs more than two full backs.

One of Sessegnons best skillsets is his ability to pop up and arrive late in the box to score. Has good composure.

Hopefully he'll develop into a solid LWB with good crossing. Don't think you'll see him bombing up and down but he doesn't necessarily need to. Just needs to work on his application .

Comes across as thick,

Last night he proved he is even thicker than he looks.

Always looks like a rabbit in the headlights

Really disappointing post. Honestly didn't think you were like that.

Guess you Guy's didn't get the memo about how he should be slagged off, abused and have personal aspersions cast his way.

Not going to be too hard on him
At least he was showing some fight in trying to win back the ball.

Ive more of a problem with those who walk about putting little effort in.

He will get his match day fitness back and with that his timing.

Much as I'm pretty much apoplectic about his red card, I'm really hoping Conte gives him a chance to redeem himself very soon. For one thing, reggie has been very hit and miss of late and needs proper competition, and secondly I think Sessegnon's confidence will take a major knock if he dwells too long on what happened.

I think we should all blank Thursday from our minds and start again.
Except Paratici, who needs to watch the tape 5x so he make sure he hasn’t forgotten anyone for his “January bargains bin” list to fax to every club in the planet

So disappointing for him to get a red. The ECL was an opportunity for players like Sess to get some match fitness and show they have something to offer.

A missed opportunity for him. But he still has a chance to show Conte something.

I've done that pretty much every game for the last two years. My thoughts go quickly back to the fond memories of the good times at Wembley Stadium. Ah those were the days
