My only concern with selling PEH is I’m not convinced we’d replace him. Not that he is a vital cog but we lack players of his ilk. Maddison is an attacker, whilst Biss, Bentancur and Sarr are box to boxers imo. Skipp is the only defensive option we have if we let him go. We’d probably get a second CB OR replacement for PEH, when we’d need both

Jesus Christ. If spreading your arms and questioning why a teammate halts his run is "berating", I don't even want to know what you think of some of our other players, or footballers in general.
No but over hitting a pass and digging your mate out for your incompetence is.

Any way good luck to him, he's off and I'm sure us and him will be all the better for it.

I don't see Hojbjerg any more defensive than Bentancur or Bissouma. He's very much a box to box cover lots of ground player. Never been one to hold his position.

If we sell him we will replace him, Ange isn’t stupid.

He has to be replaced if sold. I’m advocating for 2 as I think it’s been such a poor area for us, but depends if Tanguy gets a shot.

First choice

Bissouma
Bentancur
Maddison

Second choice

Skipp
Sarr/Devine
Ndombele

It needs strengthening

Yep Ange is a big fan. Certainly one to keep an eye on. Not sure he would cost £50m however. We certainly wouldn't pay that.
I see a lot of endeavor in him and obvs gets into scoring positions but i've never been blown away. However, sometimes that's what you need in teams, to allow others to shine. It's refreshing to see us trying to add goals through the midfield as well. Gearing up for a life without Kane either this year or next like to spread the load. It's how it should be though whatever happens.

This also weirdly makes me more hopeful for getting 2 x CBs in as the homegrown place can come from here which could....could mean we are looking again at two non-HG players for CB...

I think we will need to sell him first before we get bogged down in who will replace him. Will be interesting to see if he is on the plane or is one of the “injured” left behind.

Nice. Yea not worth £50mil but think he’s another who’d fit so nicely with how Ange likes to play, good target and homegrown but would need to sell Pierre first.

While we obviously wouldn't sell any of our players to Chelsea, would their new owners sell to us? If it was Roman who was in charge then obviously not.

Yep, dosnt matter now. That was a personal thing between Abrahmovic and Levy because of the Frank Aarnensen situation

In my very uninformed view, Boehly seems much more flexible when it comes to spending and getting returns on players, it strikes me that whilst they may have preferences as to where a player goes, he may not be very fussed as long as someone is paying what they need to balance books.

The main thing against this potential bit of business in my view is that I think it does genuinely help us (a rival) out. If we sold PEH and bought Gallagher, it’s a solid upgrade (for Ange’s system) and helps our HG quota. Can’t see them sorting us out like that
