I like Tijjjani Reijnders as a Holjberg replacement
Seems like he is going Milan though
I’ve heard his brother Rudolf is better

You might say he'd shine for us.I’ve heard his brother Rudolf is better
Maybe that's a bit too on the nose? He’d be a shining light to lead the way.
Agree with this, in the sense that every player should have a price. For PEH that price, I would hope, is a little higher than what it would be for the unwanted players in the squad. So, if someone is willing to pay it and the player and manager are OK with it, then we should sell and reinvest.I think one of the reasons he’s potentially moving on is because he’s probably one of the better sellable assets we have. Good player, in his prime, position we have decent cover in, and only a couple years left on his contract.
If he stayed he’d do a job, but if he goes it might provide us with the funds that we need to revitalize our back line. No brainer to me. Biss and Skippy are more than good enough to have the 6 role covered for this season.
I genuinely think there wouldn’t be a captain in the team if Kane and hoj left. Who would get the arm band ?If he goes, is the general feeling we lose one of the leaders on pitch? Or is he not really that player? If Kane goes along with Hugo, I feel we are lacking a bit leadership and experience.
what are people’s thoughts ?

I’ve not anything from Son, to suggest he has the requirements to be a captain, if anything he needs a strong captain to help him. If Dier is not going to playing regularly. It would be very interesting who Ange would chose as captain , if Kane does
Is this the same Son that captains his country?I’ve not anything from Son, to suggest he has the requirements to be a captain, if anything he needs a strong captain to help him. If Dier is not going to playing regularly. It would be very interesting who Ange would chose as captain , if Kane does
Yep. None of it means a thing if the player isn’t respected as one of the best players in the team by their teammates and it seems pretty obvious from the reactions of his teammates to his play sometimes that he isn’t. Besides these guys have made it to PL level for a reason, they know exactly what they are doing, the instructions of the manager and the ability to carry them out and get the better of your opponent are far more important in modern football. All this chest thumping and arm waving is some proper 90’s shit, it’s seriously redundant in todays gameleadership and captain choice in particular is overstated in importance in football really. Kanes a talisman because he’s a great footballer and can drag the team with him on occasions. Players don’t care about chest thumping, fist pumping stuff. No one pays attention to that especially if it’s coming from an average player.
exactly this. Real leaders don't berate people they motivate them with their actions. Hojbjerg is far too quick to point the finger at others.Yep. Oh no, not again. When has he ever not taken responsibility? This is a perfect example of the ott criticism he has gotten for so long. By all means let’s discuss his quality, but homemade interpretations of his body language, his teammates’ reactions or the f*** colour on his shoes… please. He has never ever criticized a teammate in interviews, always included himself when talking about responsibility for a bad game etc. Players react very differently on the pitch and they know it - it’s no a big deal unless they are unsure what he really thinks.exactly this. Yes, leadership is very important, if you disregard the psychological side of football you simply do not understand it - or any other sport for that matter. And no, you don’t have to be the best player to be a respected leader. Often the 6 or 8s are tactical leaders and not the best players in the team.
Lastly, are we really done talking about Dier here?
Jesus Christ. If spreading your arms and questioning why a teammate halts his run is "berating", I don't even want to know what you think of some of our other players, or footballers in general.Insert clip of him kicking it off the pitch and then berating Reguillon
