If we were deciding spots based on merit - Hojbjerg would make the final squad.
But, these things are complicated, and even with Bentancur injured, and facing an unknown future, I would sell Hojbjerg for a good wedge.
Bissouma - Skipp - Bentancur (I like him in the 6 rather than 8)
Maddison-Sarr-Devine
Lo Celso - Ndombele
For me - that is enough CMs. A lot depends on the commitment levels of Lo Celso and Ndombele - but I think they could both excel in this set-up. Only if we sold one of those and Hojbjerg would I want another CM, like Gallagher.
Hojbjerg is better than Skipp. But Skipp is HG, and Hojbjerg should be able to attract a decent fee.

I’d much prefer Veiga, I think he has far greater potential. Also Celta supposedly like Regi so I wonder if there is a deal to be done there.
