If we want him to improve let's give him 20 plus games away from Spurs, Mourinho should have his starting Midfielder by next season ?and giving Skipp games just here and there will not be beneficial to him.

If it was here and there like the last couple years I'd agree. But if we're in the Europa he could play literally every week, while benefitting from our coaching and facilities and integrating with the rest of the squad.

Jose’s said white will be in the squad next year so maybe he’ll get the game time skipp would’ve got here

I like what I've seen of him when he has played - tenacious and reads the game well. If we do loan him out I don't know what's best - chances are if it's a Prem team (saw somebody mention Brentford if they come up), then it will be a team that are getting spanked each week, and how good would that be for him? Maybe best to loan to a good Championship team who play similar style to us. Who that is I don't know, but I don't know how much playing for a relegation-level team would benefit him.

Loan him to QPR as part of the Eze deal
This is where we need to look after the players we believe have a proper future at the club. Chelsea loaned out RLC to a premiership team as they had the feeling that he would make it and had been around the first team for a while. Mount and Tomori only dropped further down the pyramid because they were less further along with their development.

No disrespect to QPR but the level they are currently at is where you send the Jack Clarke's and Luke Amos's of the world who have not been around the first team squad and not as highly thought of as Skipp.

For me he either goes to a top 3 or 4 championship side or a premiership side.

If we are desperate for Eze, we definitely have the players to possibly make it happen (Amos/CCV possibilities as permanents, Skipp/Clarke on loan).
You are banding Skipp at the level of the other three you have mentioned. He is above them and also Eze so I don't see why the club would agree to that.

From everything I read about the lad and what others like Edson have said on his mentality I don't think he is the type of player who would let a relegation battle affect his game. First of there is no guarantee a team like Brentford would struggle as Sheff Utd have proven. This is where we need to be careful as to who he goes to as he needs minutes not being stuck on the bench.

I think there are options like Burnley, Sheff Utd, Palace where he would get game time in the premiership and learn from other good managers.

Of course he's above them. But, a 6 Month loan at QPR is an opportunity for significant play time under a decent manager (Warburton). No better way to ensure that than sending him to QPR, playing presumably a ton of minutes, and then seeing if a loan opportunity presents itself for the 2nd half of the season at a Premier League side.

Glad he is pushing for the loan by the sounds of it as it shows he’s serious about kicking on in his career and perfecting his craft. Good lad.

also as a side note he looks like a 35 year old electrician from Hoddesdon.

I understand your logic but I just think there will be better teams then QPR. If we start him in the championship then send him to a Fulham who if they don't get promoted are likely to be back up to the top league or even one of the three clubs to come down. Maybe a Bournemouth or Norwich.

"I'm really happy. Everybody in the club is, his team-mates are, I am and Skippy is or not he wouldn't sign the contract. I think he's genuinely Tottenham's future. He's one of these players by human quality, by personality, he is one of these kids that I have no doubt he will be an important player for Tottenham. Sometimes coaches are selfish and I told him that.

I never told him I want him to go on loan, I always told him I wanted him to stay here, because that's the selfish perspective of a coach who wants the best possible squad. In his mind he wants to go on loan, six months, the whole season.

He feels that he needs that, I also feel that would be good for his evolution, so maybe that is the direction we go. I think he can be more than a player, he can be a future captain here. Hugo, Harry. I see this kid being one day a future captain here by his character, by his personality. I feel really happy that he signed."

People need to remember that you can't just loan a player wherever you fancy. The bottom of the premier league is full of clubs trying to stay in the league, they aren't going to accept being our feeder club for 6 months (disruptive mid season), unless the player can make a real difference.

Loan to Southampton, for example, is probably a no go. He simply won't get the minutes required.

Loan to QPR, maybe, but we need to start looking after our youngsters and not loaning them for favours.

We should give him to Southampton on a season loan as well as KWP.

Cannot have him sitting on the bench for another year.

He had only played something like 13 games in two seasons,Billy Gilmour has played 16 games in one season.

I do not get why people don't rate him on this site because he has hardly kicked a ball.
mate, no.

Gilmour has made 11 appearances this season and 192 minutes in the league
Skipp has made 9 appearances this season and 64 minutes in the league.

Skipp also played 12 appearances last season and 219 minutes.

They are on a similar trajectory. Loaning him out might be a good idea, or it might not be. Depends what plan is in place. He is still very young and we should be looking for him to try and break into the team two seasons from now. A loan might help it depends on the plan.
