I’m pretty sure any prem loan would have to last a full season these days? I didn’t think you can loan players to other prem teams for just 6 months now

I think it's very unlikely he'd get a Prem loan. The stakes are just so high and Prem clubs have so much money (relative to other leagues even with Covid situation,) that I just can't see anyone wanting to play a 19 year old who has little experience. He hasn't stood out at all in senior football yet. If you were a manager of a bottom half Prem club, would you want to make Skipp your DM for the new season? And if he isn't going to be a regular starter, then I'd rather he dropped down to the Championship, if it means he gets regular 1st team football.

Just look at the DM's of the clubs in the relegation battles, they are all experienced, really pretty decent players. Skipp has more potential than most of them, but would you really play Skipp over Billings, Declan Rice, Douglas Luiz, Capoue etc? Let's be honest Rice and Luiz would start for us now. I know Capoue wasn't a raving success, but he was alright and has done well at Watford. Next season will be the same, with all the Prem clubs looking for physically developed, top level proven players.

Kane went to League One and the Championship. Walker played in the Championship on loan. Rose played in several division on loan. Mason, Livermore, Pritchard, Onomah etc were all rated on our youth teams, but none got Prem loans. I just don't think Prem clubs are particularly interested in our youngsters who need some experience under their belts. To be honest, there are few in the 1st team that might struggle to get a Prem move!

Ideal would be Fulham and Scotty, Skipp’s role model.

I really think we should just play him regardless of results. He just needs a consistent run of games. Really not like Sissoko and Winks are world class players who will be missed when not playing.

The hunger these youngsters have are exactly the boost some of the older guys need to up their games before going stagnant, which they already have. It really won't be worse than we are now in the middle.

You guys are clearly something that I can't (He's looked just ok, from what Ive seen). He's barely played, so its difficult to make any serious proclamations as to his future, which is why a loan would be very good for him.

Start him in the last two games
to really test the boy
He has most of the strengths of Sissoko
and some abilities he doesn't possess.
If he passes
then make him captain for next year
Sorry Hugo
and then the future starts now.
Let's do this.

If he doesn't shape up sub
him after 30 minutes and
just forget all the nonsense.

I admire the sentiment but if you make him captain next year then he needs to play every game. Are we sure he is ready for that?

Fulham would be the perfect place, not just for the Scott Parker link
He’d be in a club that was under pressure to win every week to get promotion, would likely see lots of possession and also have competition for places with Harley Dean(think that’s his name)
If not Fulham, it would need to be a championship club with a similar MO.
Maybe Norwich?

In my mind, the perfect scenario was to loan him to West Ham as part of the deal for Declan rice, but their win last night against Watford makes relegation unlikely now. Which is a shame.

Ha, we’ve got no chance for Rice because Fat Frank wants him. Also their fans would never accept a Spurs loanee coming in to replace a star player being sold.

Its hard for the boys to get loans - how many youngsters on loan to the top ten in the Championship and playing regularly no more than a handful Leeds have a centre half from Brigthon - Swansea have Brewster from Liverpool and there ain't many more. Lower down there might be opportunities but the Championship is so competitive

Not Wycombe mate. They don’t use the midfield for anything. Not sure about QPR. Fulham maybe because of Parker. But I’d rather he went somewhere where he’s going to be guaranteed to get over thirty starts next season else there’s not that much point sending him out.

I doubt their fans were keen on Moyes but had to lump it. Getting relegated won’t be popular either.
Its all pie in the sky anyway as they’re safe now.

QPR might end up purchasing Amos so that would rule out requiring Skipp. I do feel like Norwich would be a good option for him as they play good football and unless they are completely stripped on their way down to the Championship could bounce back up.

Amos and Skipp would be a very good championship midfield.

Yes, although unless we use our loans in a smart way it won’t get us the best value
Amos + Clarke loan for Eze
Skipp loan +££ for Aarons & cantwell
Foyth PL loan (Leeds ideally)

I think championship would be best for him. He needs game time would imagine that would be harder at a prem team that could be in a relegation battle.

Send him to Swansea will be with a few other younger English talents will be taught to play the right way and will know the coach from his England youth days ?.

will also throw him out of his comfort zone

Curious to see if he'll get loaned down or a prem team will pick him up for a few months. Exciting player for sure and still only 19, but consistent minutes will be crucial for Mourinho's prediction to come true
