It may be pre season and he may have been at Copa America, but there have been very few minutes at right back in the two games so far.
That could be down to us only having four CBs on tour. If Sanchez or Dier were there he might have had more time at RB.

I can’t see Foyth working as a full back in a diamond formation. KWP has looked shaky. Aurier probably our best option there but he’s unconvincing too.

Doesn't have the attacking sensibilities and ball control that Foyth has

But from what I hear we will be using our wingers more as wingers as the midfield is going to be taking more on inside so there is not as much emphasis on Wing Backs apparently
also Sanchez can also hit a nice long ball
I do like Foyth by the way ,Thinks he will be a great player (probably eventually a DM)

Maybe the reason we were prepared to let Trippier and Rose go is that Poch is contemplating a formation change in which our RBs will have much less attacking responsibility. The likes of Davies and Foyth are fine if their main responsibility is to defend.

Possibly, but the use of the 41212 formation suggests otherwise. We’re far too narrow without the option of marauding fullbacks

I haven't seen any of our pre-season games yet. Who has played at right back? Foyth's suspended for the first two games isn't he? We might just want to make sure that whoever is starting those first games will be ready - especially as game two is away to Man City.

He's so assured and calm on the ball. It's like having an additional ball playing midfielder up the pitch when we're in possession. I like it.
