Nowt wrong with it. If there is then trying to score more when 3-0 up is also taking the piss. There's no need to hurt the feelz of the other team, the game is won.

Fuck all that noise.

Loved that penalty and nothing wrong with it IMO. IIRC Arsenal tried it couple of years ago and they failed.

Haha. Was that the Henry/Pires attempt or have they failed spectacularly again in more recent memory?

1: I bet you're gagging for someone to pull you on the spelling of Cruyff :D
2: Cruyff's penalty was the first time it had ever been done and they were only leading 1-0 at the time so i'd agree that in that case not so twattish
3: If it doesn't work it doesn't look twattish it just makes the perp look an idiot. If its twattish, then its twattish either way.

But yet again, we go back to onions on this and its a fine line sometimes. If this had been done while the game was in the balance i'd be in the other camp on this I suppose :geek:

Thing is, Cruijff is his Dutch birth name :D

Its only because the superior team has the superior players as obvious as it sounds. That's why they see it as disrespectful.

But its bollox to be honest, if the smaller team does that to the bigger one no one would be batting an eyelid at it - well they'd be celebrating it, and the superior teams players would probably be applauding it, certainly not complaining about it.

Its the attacking teams prerogative, period.

Personally I didn't like it.
It was novel but it just doesn't sit comfortably with me.
As has been said, it shouldn't be allowed imo.
And the comparison to kneeling down to head it in was a good one.
Like getting in behind and doing 4 passes to each other in the 6 yd box waiting for the opp tocome get it before you tap it in.
I suppose the word I'm looking for is 'Cu#!ish'.
Or unsportsmanlike (is that one word? Or even a word lol?)

I agree with those who think it was a dick move.

Just taking the piss out of their opponents really.

I wasn't classifying this as skill. People are equally up in arms about Neymar's "disrespectful" rainbow kick.

This falls under the same category as a quick freekick or even the "Teddy" corners where we used to do something unexpected from a set play.

Never understood why they call it Neymars rainbow kick...Ossie did it in our colours in the 80's
