Let that talent nurture and let him find that natural position.
I agree but he has hit very few telling passes.
Here seems to run a lot with his head down. Yes there have been a few flicks but he really has been more of a Lamela albeit with more control and more common sense. The important thing is vision and I'm not sure yet until he shows more

To get the best out of him, we need to play a 3 - in a 2 he gets bogged down with the dirty work too much which stifles the creative side of his game. A 3 of him, a proper DM and Ndombele in theory could get the best out of the 2 most talented players in our squad. This would leave Dele as the odd man out, in theory he could be the 3rd CM but he’d have to show the hungry Dele of the first couple of years and I’m not sure he has the desire to be that player

the front 3 of Son Kane Bergwijn is in theory full of goals, especially with 2 creators in GLC and Ndombele on the pitch together

I’d love to see this, but I’m doubtful Jose will stray from the double pivot. Unfortunately

before the lockdown, in almost every game Lo Celso was assister of the assist .... He was really imposing in those games ...

Regardless of whether Jose will use Ndombele, Lo Celso won't remain in the role.

I'm personally sceptical that JM will adopt the 4-3-3 with Ndombele in it and I think should we get a DM then they'll play alongside Winks or Sissoko (god help us) in a CM2 with GLC playing the 10 role.

Lo Celso has gone from under utilised to over exposed. Guy is running on empty. Cut him some slack and judge his output next season with a DM behind him.

About Gio. I think he is very talented but thats not enough (its better than a lot of out players though) He needs to create some goals. He is am AM with ball talent he should be finding ways to feed Kane
He is a AM playing as a D/CM that’s the problem.

We need him higher up the field to create but also further back to pick the ball up and bring it forward

I remember when everyone wanted Modric playing higher up the pitch.

The value of an incisive passer playing deeper is huge, if we played him in the right CM, whether a 2 or a 3, our play will blossom for it. You want this guy where he’ll see as much of the ball as possible, and that’s dead centre of the pitch for me.

My question is about Kane. He is one of the best strikers but with the least service and lately that has been terrible generally. So who will supply him?
Lo Celso should be more active in tis way. I think he has done well dont get me wrong he is better than a lot of the others who have no ball control or control occasionally. He HAS ball control but who else can get the ball through to Kane? NDombele I think but obviously we know his problems and Mourinhos problems and Lo Celso who has the talent. It can come from the wings but thats a long shot (how many goals has Kane headed in?)
This last game was open more and so generally better but Kane has a whole bunch of players around him and they cant get him the ball.

Lo Celso has been better than most of not all of the others but if he doesnt supply, who does?

This sounds like the beginning of Modric all over again.

I think we will see a move to the 4-3-3 when we have the personnel to do it. You sit Lo Celso and Ndombele in front of a midfield enforcer and we will unlock both of them. Ndombele should be the more forward midfielder of the two, but Lo Celso will have more freedom to dictate play and chip in in attack.

That's at least my theory.

I literally dream of seeing this line up. Think it would be fantastic if we had the best of Ndombele in this role.

I just fear we will never see this, though.

I even think you could put Dele in one of those roles, rather than as a 10.

Dele is also someone that doesnt create enough. I find they all are focussing on the defensive side and forgetting to create. Dele is hugely talented but another one who hasnt been creating

Interesting analysis of a player who has PL stats of:

150 games
50 goals
33 assists

So Dele either contributes a goal or an assist every other game.

Possibly unfair to say he isn’t creative, no?

Thats why Kane can draw the players away allowing Son and others to run into space hopefully.

Was happy to see him get subbed off at the 60 minute mark and get some well deserved rest. Jose will do well to not run GLC into the ground.

If only we had a Tanguy like that ...

He's a very good player but he isn't going to give us what Eriksen does, we need a replacement still
