I find this criticism remarkable. He's played hardly any games and when he has played he's been out of position. It might be better to reserve judgement until he's had a run of games in his favoured position(s).

he didn't do bad at all? better than alli + a lot more and he has the least experience out of all the players who played.
don't see anyone shitting on Sess for his shit show and we tend to forget how young Gio is.
Almost had the pass of the game if not for Dele to be offside

Lot of people getting defensive of GLC because theyve been almost guaranteeing all of our problems would be solved the moment he and Ndombele were on pitch (please refer to every single match day thread since the start of the season).

But then reality destroyed the fantasy world that had been created in their heads where shiny new player is always so much better than boring old player of last season.

Its far to early to have a definitive opinion on Lo Celso. The majority are only seeing him play now and he hasn’t even played 5 games let alone 10 game imo is a fair assessment of a player...his previous spells at Betis PSG Were seen on YouTube ( let’s not lie) .

Those that have criticised have seen faults and will be magnified until he gets up to EPL speed. From what I’ve seen he is technically a good player ,that is a very good point to start with.

If Levy hadn’t messed about we could of got Jack Grealish ready made and up to speed- probably less money

Very few have had the notion that Ndombele + Lo Celso instantly and magically would solve our problems as soon as they started together. After all they are very young and inexperienced players coming from foreign leagues. Add to that they have never played together before. The mere thought that they would instantly transform is just as stupid as writing them off based on 1 match.

What's important is they have the potential and natural talent that we need. And maybe most importantly they can provide some new energy. The truth is that this Spurs squad have grown stale and old. Signing no new players for two transfer windows does that to a squad. Give our new players a full year and a proper pre season and then let's evaluate them.

Yet those hammering him are making out he's been woeful, which is far from the case. He's actually been ok, good in a lot of aspects actually.

If he was making Aurier style gaffes then I'd get the criticism (not the abuse though)

Refer to every match thread. The conclusion is undeniable and consistent, bring on GLC/NDombele = big easy winz.

Too slow for EPL. Eric Dier is probably faster than him.

He's like a poor mans Eriksen, but doesnt have the passing ability or vision that Eriksen has. Doesnt demand the ball at all. Its like he hides in midfield, both offensively and he is pretty much non existent defensively without the ball.

If there is away to get out of purchase, whether it means terminating the loan in January, you do it now. With the tight budget we have, we can't afford to waste on Lo Celso who clearly isnt suited to fast paced EPL game style.
He's 23 years old, played about 263 minutes of premier league football, where he's had 2 starts, of which 1 came under a different manager returning from his first significant injury of his career and you've already formed an opinion and written him off?

I thought he was decent once we stopped playing 5 at the back and he had someone to pass to.

I’m reserving judgment on GLC, was expecting to see much more of him than we have which tells me he’s not showing enough in training.

Half way through his first season, he’s featured in half the games and I still wouldn’t be able to tell you what sort of player he is:
  • started 2
  • subbed on 8
  • unused sub 4
  • not in squad/injured 6

I haven't seen anything yet from him to suggest he's anything other than a neat & tidy player & from what I've seen he'll be another Lamela never quite good enough to make the team better.

Grealish on the other hand shows virtually in every game why Poch wanted him & we've missed an opportunity to improve the squad. He's now worth 70/80M & we could have had him for 40M.
