This will happen - its too far down the line for it not to happen.

I suspect Betis know of Levys reputation and just messing him about, toying with him, but in the end we will get the man

I take it it’s the Mexican version?
Na I’ve not started on the tequila yet. I’m actually thinking of having a fruit and no booze day, my body can’t handle my gluttonous recent existence.

On Lo Celso, I’m reminded of the times the shoe has been on the other foot with us losing our best player, namely Berbatov and Bale. Both times we eked it out till the last moments of the window to ensure we got every last penny out of the buyers, both times we still sold. Is this not what Betis are doing with us now?

Maybe Levy is lost in his own hype of being "king of negotiations" to realise the world has moved on a pace and that his current methods are no longer effective and outdated.

This seems the latest from Betis media...and seems the more believable story today....

https://www.diariodesevilla.es/realbetis/Betis-Celso-Sevilla-pendiente-Camarasa_0_1379562210.html

i) Betis have arrived back from Morocco with Lo Celso included and proceed with their preseason plan as usual
ii) Spurs are the only team to make a firm bid till date. Other teams like Napoli &Atletico have other targets (James -RM) and have only made general inquiries
iii) Spurs submitted 52m+8m variables as latest bid
iv) Not accepted by Betis and they hold firm on 70m valuation
v) Lo Celso - Spurs have agreed personal terms
vi) Betis waiting for Levy to make the next move.
vii) They claim Levy is waiting for a last minute move by Eriksen to accelerate in other additions such as Lo Celso and Bruno Fernandes
How would Betis know of Levy's intentions for Eriksen? If they are waiting for us to sell him because they think they will get a better deal they are cutting it very fine but at least it confirms they want to sell.

No one else having come in to bed what we’ve bid gives me hope that it gets done.

Prem window closes and the big money leaves with it. The bids aren’t going to get any better.

Its not a secret , isnt it ? We know Betis has to sell to balance their books. Same way, they know we are looking for replacement...their positon is strenghthened with good sales of Lopez, Firpo & Camarasa (once it goes thro)

IMO, Levy thinks they’ll start sweating about the PL deadline, but really I think they’ll be confident that they can find a buyer willing to offer the same terms as Levy as a last resort.

I want Lo Celso, but Betis are pissing me off. I want them facing liquidation within three years or I’m going over there.

If they honestly think they can get 60m from a non-English club then I truly admire their optimism

Yep, Napoli and Atelti (if interested) will be waiting for the window to close for their own leverage. Betis must know this.

How we come out of this mess in next 3 days probably will have direct impact on where we finish this season.

If Eriksen is sulky , stays and we cant bring replacement in, we are fucked to EL.

If we find a solution for Eriksen mess & get a deal done for replacement or convince Eriksen to commit to a new deal, we could push on from current 4th spot and even be a CL contender

So much in the balance as of now. I hope Levy sees the bigger picture and doesn't look for penny pinching. Not relenting in a 10m Eur gap in Lo Celso could cost us the 50m in CL money.

They think Im sure Levy is twisted their arms but their price was way over what it should have been.I think for 5 million more they all could make it happen

If they don't find a buyer, they just retain their best player and an asset worth £60m - not the end of the world. We're in nowhere near a strong bartering position as we seem to think, especially as they've already made money on sales (about 45m between Firpo and Pau Lopez). I expect Levy knows this, too, which explains the diversion of energy towards Lisbon's direction.

If we agree a fee, can Levy tweet it out from the official account so Betis can’t back out again?

If they want to back out, they will. A tweet won't stop them, but it will make us look stupid. That's why the club never comments on transfers until they are done and dusted, and rightly so.

This is it. Madrid or Napoli aren't going to pay what close to what Betis are demanding or even close to what we're bidding. This is what gives me hope that it will get done. They are just trying to make us sweat until the last day.
