If we do sign him, we need to get an immediate Stoof stamp and then burn the thread to the fucking ground.

Wipe any cache of it, just pretend it never happened, he was our player all along.

And i don't want to check but probably half of this flop are sold with profit...
Again what did we achieve with them? Liverpool won't consider Coutinho thier best player of this century as he made them 145 mil. But VVD,salah,AB e.t.c will be considered as their heroes as they won CL.

So when do we have bus parade for all the progress we have made. I want to join in so that in the future can tell about it to others. Please send me date and location.

So are you not happy that we have progresses as a club despite you moaning we don't sign many good players?! Or would you be happier if we were midtable like the good old days so you can moan more?!

Can we leave certain fans in while it burns also?! :cautious:

This is the problem with this subjective nonsense. Ndombele hasn’t played in the PL or even a competitive fixture for us and he’s rated him ‘top’.
I missed it at first but then I knew there will be many at my throats for our highest signing name not being included.

Do you root for the bank accounts or the team on the field, I forget?

Were not going to fucking fold as a club if we pay what Betis want on Lo Celso. Or if we actually think we need to sell Eriksen to buy Lo Celso (still very possible) we wouldn't fold if we just had both.

You're absolutely bang on the money mate ?

Just announced a club record kit deal with AIA, we made nearly £100million from last seasons Champions league run & announced record profits last year too. Plus the stadium is now finished and reports say we turn over £1,000,000 profit every home game on food & drink alone!! So If we can afford to sign Lo Celso for what he's worth then something is clearly wrong!!!!

Nope. 1.5 good season? Did he perform consistently? Do you think he is going to perform better than others (POY)?
Alli hasn't been a top signing for us because he's only had 1.5 good seasons for us. But Ndombele, who hasn't had a single good competitive game for us, is a top signing?

WTF have you been drinking?

I don't care about the money we make. What he has achieved with a club and individually?
What has Dele Alli done individually? How about scoring big game goals against Real Madrid, Chelsea, Arsenal, and United. How about being selected into the PFA team of the year twice, being named the PFA young player of the year twice, being capped by England nearly 40 times at age 23, being a mainstay in one of the best England teams in years, and having a better scoring record at his age than the likes of Gerrard, Lampard, Beckham, etc. All for a 5m transfer fee. Top signing.

Not to mention, our top signing Ndombele who has blessed us with one assist in a preseason game against Juve.

The fucking state of this thread.

It’s like watching “Chernobyl” - I feel like everyone devolving into the guy running the plant.

“We only signed Ndombele. Not great, not terrible.”

“You shouldn’t talk about us signing Lo Celso because HE’S NOT GOING TO SIGN.”

What is his worth though?

He was sold to Betis for £20 million a few short months ago, he’s now a £70 million pound player?

Player value is subjective, just because a club slap a price on a player, doesn’t mean that’s their actual worth does it?

His actual “worth” will be decided once he’s actually bought.

It’s also interesting to note that there really hasn’t been any competition for his signature at the price Betis allegedly want. If he was actually “worth” the £70m then don’t you think there’d be a number of offers that force us to meet the price?

From what we’ve seen to date, no one is entertaining that money, which indicates that no one else really sees him as being “worth” that amount.

But what is he worth?
Because that price is clearly subjective (to a degree) but what the club value him at, what Betis value him at and what fans value him at are all different.
