Ally Gold.

I thought Poch was a little tough the other day in responding to my Alderweireld question the way he did. Today he slapped down poor @RobGuesty for simply suggesting Erik Lamela looked sharp. The Spurs boss is not a happy bunny.

AG being a mardy arse for being put in his place by Poch so stirring it now...

I don't know how old you are but if you've decided not to renew your season ticket this season because of transfers, you're either a very new fan or if I'm being brutally honest, an idiot.
This has been the best period to support Spurs for decades!

You were very lucky to have a season ticket in the first place and unless there are other reasons for giving it up, and you're using this like a bit of a drama queen, we're better off without the likes of you in the stadium.

Not that I agree with not renewing but I think you (and Levy) would be surprised with how many people feel this way. I don't think it would take much to see a lot of empty seats.

The argument that you can’t always add a few million more if people ask for more in deals only works to a point. Our squad went stale 2 years ago. Our coach has worked miracles to drag them as far he did in the CL but our PL form told you all you needed to know. If we have sat down and discuss 3 players who could help us refresh the squad and challenge, then we have to be realistic and pay a premium in some instances. Liverpool understood his and splashed and it bought them a CL victory and running City far closer than anyone would have believed. We are capable, we just have to know when to stick and when to twist.
But Liverpool didn’t just splash, they sold Coutinho for a British transfer record sale and then spent that money very well.

Spot on, we made a world record profit and have just signed a massive sponsor deal plus getting 100million for reaching the final, no one is saying pay over the odds for every player but if pochettino is desperate for lo celso just for this one player pay over the top and get him.

And this well known member will still be here. I did not say anything about not renewing due to signings because the window wasnt even open then....numpty.

But i will speak up regardless of it being against the grain.
Against the grain? Have you seen this place? It’s like a cult it’s so repetitive in its anti Baldy mantra.

And let’s hope we don’t sell Rose. Why would a top club sell a top player to a rival?

I don't want us to sell Rose, but I think the signing of Sessengon is dependant on whether or not the club manage to move Rose on. I personally think there would be no better person for Sessengon to learn from in training than Danny Rose and hope we have both in our squad this season.

Unlike with Lo Celso, I don't think it's dependant on moving any players off the books and Betis will accept a lower offer on deadline day.

This has just become a spam thread. Why are we talking about Post-match quotes in Lo Celso thread ?

I know people will be happy if Eriksen and Alder stay when the first ball is kicked but let's make no mistake if we're not enjoying the transfer window this summer it will be hell on each if next season those 2 leave on a free and we don't have the resources to replace them because we didn't get anything for them. If they sign deals great but if they're not going to then we need to move them on ASAP.

And it's absolutely not the clubs fault that we are in this situation, it's the way that football is heading, players run down their contracts, the club have little say in it, you put an offer on the table and they don't sign and nobody is willing to offer any money for them.

well if it cheers you up a bit, lets prey to god, if Poch is still with us that he picks targets that aren't involved in the Euros :cautious:

shit how many players will we have involved in that:cry:

I've got to say that surprises me, especially when the window hasn't closed yet.
If we were to get Lo Celso and Sess, do you think the mindset would be the same, or would that smooth things a bit?

Tell you what is odd, the fact that a whole bunch of posters who post the square route of fuck all bar during the window being open sure does make me wonder if people just follow football for the next big shiny thing.

Poch chewed Ally Gold out at the last presser of the Asia tour because he asked him about Toby - Poch went off on one about players, and transfers and questions pertaining to both, the bottom line then was stop asking him about transfers - if he's been asked again after asking not to be asked, perhaps you'd be fucked off too.

Doubt it excuses the lack of movement in two fairly well spoken about transfers in the press, but it doesn't always have to be a negative - it's easily spun though, ain't it?

If I was a manager in the transfer window I’d expect to be asked about transfers again and again and again. I didn’t get the impression from his answers that he’s happy about the transfer window.

He just rambled on and on - he has become Mourinho lite.

The depth of the desperation on Twitter has led to a meltdown over a fake rumour about Carlos Vela joining us ?

Speaking up is your right, no problems with that but it did come across like you weren't renewing your ST because you were unhappy with the club, which kinda can only be because of transfers.
It not been this good at spurs for a long time, and I'm talking about on the pitch, which is where having a season ticket is a good thing.
I haven't managed to get there for years, most of my time was in the 90's and 00's, which was frankly, a crock of shite!
Would love to have been there over the past few years.
