Matt Law also getting in on the action. I am starting to get worried, we have 10 days left and we still have a shit load to do, RB looks weak as fuck at the minute, LB is up in the air.

Danny Rose has returned to the Tottenham Hotspur squad for the Audi Cup pre-season tournament in Munich after failing to secure a move away from the club.
Left-back Rose was left out of the tour of China in order to try to find a new club, but Spurs are yet to agree a deal for the England international.
Rose has, therefore, been restored to manager Mauricio Pochettino’s travelling party with under two weeks of the transfer window remaining.
It means Tottenham will contest the Audi Cup with three players who had been expected to leave and only one new signing, midfielder Tanguay Ndombele.

Chairman Daniel Levy broke the club’s transfer record to sign Ndombele for £55million, but supporters are still waiting for the summer evolution Pochettino insisted was needed at the back end of last season.
Kieran Trippier left in a £20m move to Atletico Madrid, but Rose, Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld are still at Tottenham and part of the squad that will play Real Madrid on Tuesday night at the Allianz Arena and either Bayern Munich or Fenerbahce on Wednesday night.
Rose will not be pushed out of Spurs and will only leave for what he believes is the right move for him.

With interest in the Premier League limited, Tottenham’s best chance of selling Rose might be abroad with Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Atletico all having shown an interest in the 29-year-old.

Levy still has a lot of work to do over the final 10 days of the transfer window, with Spurs still chasing Fulham youngster Ryan Sessegnon and midfielder Giovani Lo Celso. Talks have also been held with Juventus over an ambitious move for Paulo Dybala.
Other than Trippier, back-up striker Fernando Llorente has also left Tottenham although there remains a chance he could return on a reduced terms contract.
Pochettino has insisted he is happy with his squad, but he could theoretically argue that it is currently weaker than it was at the start of last season.
That, of course, could still change but the inclusion of Rose in the Audi Cup squad has only further underlined the lack of progress the club have made in the transfer market in terms of sales and signings.
Eric Dier, who did not travel to China after requiring surgery, is still out while Serge Aurier has undergone surgery to a hand injury he suffered while on duty with the Ivory Coast.
That leaves Pochettino with Kyle Walker-Peters and Juan Foyth as his two options at right-back and Foyth is suspended for the start of the Premier League season.
Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has returned to the Tottenham squad after recovering from tonsillitis.

& it really isn't a consolation to hear that two should be coming in - considering one has been coming in for the last 18 months and the other since the beginning of June that means fuck all else ...

Still stuck with the dead wood bar one, and people keep asking me why I've been a snarky **** this window ...

This is literally last summer all over again.

Yep, its literally a carbon copy. Ndombele signing was an absolute necessity with Dembele leaving, but that isn't even the bare minimum, we aren't even on par at the minute. Sessegnon if he comes is just a kid.

Where are the new signings to take us up a level to compete with the top two?

Squad is still a shambles looking at what we are taking to the Audi Cup.

I dont think the categorical truth would be much different from opinion.

I cannot imagine Poch is happy. Perhaps by the end of it he will be but you do want to have a settled squad before pre season or even get the majority of stuff done. I just look at Liverscum last year and well, it should have been us this year in terms of wrapping up the signings. I can see why the signings havent been made however i.e. GLC was on intl duty for example
Liverpool sold Coutinho mid-season so they had a lot of money to spend early in the window.

Poch has too much class to do this, but there are some managers who would've walked before last season started.

All we've done since then is sold one of our great midfielders and replaced him with a world-class talent. If DL doesn't rectify this, this is probably Poch's last season.

Levy has the majority of our fan base tied around his little finger! Big big 10 days or so left I don’t think poch will take it much longer if levy doesn’t deliver the players he wants

With Gards it's anyone's guess. I would wager (almost) nobody, even Levy himself, is happy with the transfer activity up until now
If Levy's not happy then he has no-one but himself to blame.

Frankly from a financial standpoint TN was our bonus from CL final. We've since signed a more lucrative sponsorship deal and have a full 2 years transfer funds to spend.

Anything short of GLC, Sess AND a top quality RB to replace Trippier will be a poor window. And that's assuming there are no more outs this window.

Even then we're probably only slightly better off than last season in terms of squad and certainly not in PL challenging territory without a proper game changing player signing (such as Bale, Dybala, etc...)

With the limited amount of time left in the window I'm now getting worried too, but getting GLC over the line in the next day or two would go some way to keeping us on track.
