What amazes me is all the up beat comments that "He's having a medical" "It will be signed in the next 48 hours" when we haven't even made a bid for him or Dybala or Sessegnon. It's just media talk with no substance. When I hear from a reliable source (The club) then I can get excited. If you took some of the comments on here seriously they are already here and in training.

You have a go at those saying we have made bids etc and then go full on the other way refusing to believe anything. If you really feel that way, why are you here? Media talk can actually be correct, not all media is bs you know.

I’m just as keen to get Lo Celso in as Ndombele. He seems so well suited for a Poch team. Technical, hard working, decent long shot on him and a tenacious little fucker too. Can’t wait

If your only reliable source is the club then why bother with transfer rumours at all? We’re all here to get a bit closer to what’s happening before the club announce anything. If you’re only interested in pure facts stick to the official site.

Most of it is related to our club. Let's wait and see and then you can apologise.

Kind of says Lo Celso sale is already budgeted into their transfer calculation this season. But they still feel they have advantage in negotiations...They plan to hold on to hold on to Lo Celso even if it gets late into window so they get the price close to their expectations
That's an absolutely awful plan. If you really need the money, why would you risk getting absolutely nothing and then having financial problems, that makes no sense

Fella, if all you ever followed for information was the club, you wouldn’t even know that GLC, Sess and Dybala are transfer targets.

Herc is chilled complete with slack and hairies.

On this basis, I feel it only appropriate that one should participate in the wild abandonment known as 'the afternoon session'.

This may however upgrade into the much respected 'all dayer', allowing for careful consideration to be given to the ebb and flow of the posts constructing this very thread.

These things take time, but in the spirit of all things great on SC, I will endeavour to do my best and sit in the pub and cast my beady eye over this very thread from time to time.

Are we to sign?, Will we have to sell Eriksen to fund?, Dybala or Lo Celso?, Thought it'd be done by now.

Just a snippet of what one has to peruse through. An act only completely accomplished through drinking Cider in a pub with sun drenched tables.

I'm goin' in lads, wish me luck.

Lets be honest, we all thought Eriksen was leaving & now that he's not, it doesn't surprise me that this seems to be dragging on, i would be even more worried if we still have no news next week when he's back from holiday

Slowly but surely turning out to be a typical ENIC transfer window, isn't it? This kid has supposedly been "agreed" and "destined" (as has Sessegnon) for us for over a month now, and suddenly Betis is now even pissed off at us for our low bid(s). Can't flog the deadwood like Nkoudou and Wanyama. Press briefs to the Spurs media in DK and Alasdair for supposed interested in a 90M player which most likely pan out to nothing. I need some happy clappers to see the light at the end of the tunnel

I guess we could have stayed at whl and the old training complex and bought loads of players?

I know what I prefer.

Very dangerous game when the English window closes earlier than the rest of Europe, and not many of the other leagues have the finances to pay as much as English clubs.

'We tried'/'Ran out of time'/'Goalposts moved' - All come to mind the longer it takes to acquire our main targets. Having said that, I still remain hopeful/confident that we will get Le Celso & Sess, eventually ... But still it wouldn't surprise me being a Spurs fan if one of them OR another target all together, fell through due to time constrains which would be frustrating to say the least

In my opinion, we are letting this drag out. Betis know we are one of his main suitors and want him. But because they have already signed Fekir, they have accepted they need to sell Lo Celso.

I reckon we are letting it drag out to try and get a cheaper deal because we know that they need the funds for their Fekir signing.

Risky though, as our window shuts soon

Or maybe the medical is pencilled in for next week when he’s back from holiday.

Optimistic I know. Herc seemed adamant it’s all agreed, but then Trix mentioned clubs want reviewed terms which could very well be Betis.

If it’s not done by this time next week it’s full on panic time, because there is no reason it shouldn’t be done next week unless we are still miles away from agreeing a fee.

I wonder if the renewed terms could be pay less in advance but more overall down the line. We may need to spend less now so we have the funds for Dybala.
