I don't know about "fantastic cameo"...for one, he was on for a third of the game, so calling it a cameo isn't promising anyways. He was ok, added mobility to the midfield and had a couple flicks come off once we were 3-2 up. Hardly a gamechanging performance.Fantastic cameo tonight. Some great ball retention and one touch passes, as well as some flicks and tricks thrown in there. Excited to see how this kid does as he settles in.
Good to see an aggression in his play tonight, a basic requirement for the English game.

This isn't me slating him btw, just think it's a stretch to call that fantastic.
It would be good if he could play as a back up/rotation option for Ndombele whilst he's getting his fitness up to speed. I really feel 433 is the way to go forward. At least until end of season.Intriguing player.... hope he'll feature today.

I think with 3 in CM you can afford to go without a proper DM in a lot of games but share the defensive duties between them. Gedson fits pretty well in that format since he doesn't mind a tackle and neither does Lo Celso, Winks or Ndombele for that matter. There's also plenty of go forward creativity in there as well.
