I really don't notice him when he plays. Not sure if that is good or bad.

Considering the minutes he's had so far, maybe you've just drunk too much by the time he's come on.

Honestly though, it's nothing earth shattering but there are little signs of confidence and quality there.

Him, Lo Celso, Ndombele and Bergwijn all look like they've got a certain something. Same with the confidence in Winks.

All about getting everyone fit and playing for each other now. Baby steps.

He gives a level of calmness to our play
He definitely fills a gap but I'm still not entirely sure what he does. Today was limited minutes so I won't hold it against him, but I've not really see him do much other than appear out of nowhere, do something eye catching and then disappear again. Will definitely not judge him until next year but he's an anomaly to me at the moment.

I think we can put him down as versatile midfielder

he seems to get better every time he plays, like to see him play more than 10 mins per game

In the limited time I've seen him play, he looks to me like he's got some real talent and intelligence.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what this fella can do once he's had a full preseason. I have a gut feeling this boy will have us raving about him in the not too distant future.

I thought he was bought as a cm but Jose seems to be using him on the right which it seems like he's just doing a job but not his position. Think yesterday maybe he was there to help stop Grealish.

This was very much how I saw Luka Modric for the majority of his time here, in fairness. It's certainly not always a bad thing.

Think Gedson looks very confident on the ball, and seems to be able to work well in limited space. He had 2 or 3 impressive moments in his 10-minute cameo against Villa yesterday, all of which seemed to be in totally different areas of the pitch.

Really liked that he somehow got himself past the Villa defenders into the box ready to pick up the rebound if Son's effort hadn't gone in. It did, of course, but if Reina had got a hand to it there's every chance Gedson had positioned himself perfectly to tap it in.

Encouraging signs so far. Hope he gets a bigger run out soon.

That is an absolutely crazy statement. I can think of at least 30 games I was at that Modric totally controlled and would have had more touches than any player on the pitch. Modric was truly outstanding.

Not at first. He was quiet but effective for his first couple of seasons before he really began standing out.
