He puts that chance away... Oof.

He was blowing out of his arse after that though. Needs match fitness, clearly, but the magic is still there.

He did look a yard or two off the pace and think at times he wasnt sure where he was supposed to be but that is totally understandable. A few games and he should be ok hopefully...

Should have buried that chance, could have gone either way of the keeper. This end of the pitch we have nothing to worry about though, Bale will be incredible once he gets match fit.

We don't want to turn into a you score 4 and we'll score 5 team. I'm not worried about Bale at all, it's what's behind him that's a concern if anything.

You can tell CCV is the only one that's actually played an organized game, but was surprised with Bale's form.

TBH as someone who grew up playing basketball I can guarantee you this is a weird looking jump shot

Should have scored to kill the game, but he looks like he will be dangerous once he’s match sharp.

I will say Bale didn’t do anywhere near enough defensive work and think that added pressure and just invited them down their left side. Not a shock the two goals came from there.

I’m just going to live in my own reality for a while and pretend he scored that chance at the end and we won 4-2. I’m not going back to real life until we are top of the league. Thank you for your patience.

I think it was forgotten in all the hype that he will be way off the pace at the moment not just in fitness but getting used to the intensity of the league again. Hopefully he starts on Thursday and starts getting some proper minutes under his belt.

Yarmolenko put him off. If he's not there Bale buries that.
