still not seeing Lamela as the slam-dunk cast-iron guarantee that everyone else is. if he does come, I'll support him as much as anyone else, but I just don't know where all this absolute certainty about how great he'll be comes from.

We are prob also looking to sell Falqué. Townsend and Sig should raise a substantial fee together. If we sell Ade I would imagin that money would go strate into another striker. Lamela and Will could, maybe be possible but I am not even going to think about it. And to think, we would still have Holtby as a rotation option when he is fit again! What a potentially increadible team!

I am a little worried about Arss tho, if earlier reports that Roma where offering him to both London clubs are true then I can completely see Arss going for out of desperation and to appease the fans. They don't need him in the slightest but still, they are idiots when it comes to transfer these days.
My word of the day is positivity.

I think Baldini's relationship with both Lamela and Roma puts us in a good position. Just like our previous work on the Willian deal and AVB and him being BFFs puts us in a good position.

I'm not saying either deal will happen, but I think there is plenty to be positive about.

There are no certainties in life, but what we do know is that he is one of the best 21 year old forwards in the world. 15 goals in 33 league games last season suggests he's got something.

I think you could make a reasonable argument that at 21 Lamela is a better version than Bale at 21. Granted Bale has some other worldy physical attributes that over the past couple of years he really started to use to his full advantage, but Lamela is no slouch and offers arguably better dribbling and vision while on the ball and attempting to work through defenders.

I think Lamela still has areas to improve but I think as far as finding a realistic Bale replacement, he's truly one of the only options. Young, huge potential and he's got a star quality about him. He looks like he could become the face of someone's club some day.

I give up. I really do.

I tried and tried not get excited over Lamela after Aguero and after multiple reports that his chairmen and agents are heading over here, someone says he had signed a new contract with Roma.

Argh!

So also is in London with @ OfficialASRoma entourage # Lamela. And not on vacation, I suppose. We await developments ... # transfers

Hrmmm... I don't want to do too much adding together here but unless they are going to Arsenal for talks this is looking really promising. Oh, and that big thing about 'if this is even true.'

Oh what I'd give to be a fly on the wall during our transfer meetings.

In my mind it goes something like this...

AVB - "Willian is the ultimate footballer. He is the chosen who will unlock the true power of vertical penetration and lead us to footballing glory. I have seen it in my dreams. We must sign him immediately, whatever the cost."

FB - "You trippin fool! Will I AN, aint no thang! But Lamela? Now that kid is the truth, Ruth! Shit, I seen it with ma own eyes... ! Sign that boy up now!"

DL - "But gentlemen, this Danish wunderkind, Eriksen, is just half the price? And he looks such a good boy too. Couldn't we make do with him instead?"

Well if he's going to Arsenal that's too bad, I could have shot the plane down 10 minutes ago while it was over Paris.

Damn.

Yeah let's remember the age old adage of, "if it's come from Twitter it's probably shitter than info from a bitter granny prostitute hitter."

Genuinely though don't get excited about shit that's put on Twitter. If he's in London I'm sure there will be pics soon so at least wait for that.

I still think it's Willian OR Lamela, but I hope I'm wrong.

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

I hope your wrong as it surely means Bale is offski!

Willian or Lamela plus Bale is absolutely my preference.
