Sorry but I can't stop laughing at this because all I can picture reading it is a bloke who goes out on the lash on a Saturday but still shows up for Sunday League every week, is absolute pony but he gives his all. The other players know he's shite but grateful to him for being there so they've got an XI out.
thats about his level tbf.

Bentancur put in an even worse cross than his and don't think Doch even attempted a cross despite being on when we had 90% of ball and territory.
Bentancur’s cross was poor but it wasn’t worse, in my opinion.

He’s also a superb player with endless credit in the bank, so one fuck up in a sea of brilliance is never going to warrant as much criticism.

Also, Doherty had Kulusevski on the pitch so, intelligently, tried to find him to deliver the decisive ball.

Is Bentancur a better player than Emerson? Really? Are you sure?
Think you're missing my point but whatevs - far be it from me to spoil the never ending pile on to Royale which is not boring or obvious at all and is clearly Really Useful. Play on :shifty:

Just watching Trippier for Newcastle and reminded when the galactic brains of SC insisted he was shite and glad he was sold.

Imagine him as a wing back in this system, those beautiful crosses… ??

This might seem crazy but I think Emerson could do a decent job at RCB. He will never be a RWB without any ability to pick execute a cross but he is fairly sound defensively, decent with the ball if not asked to cross and is a good athlete.

RWB no good, maybe RB. Conte doesn't play back four, so why not RCB? ?‍♂️ Why do we want to do that? We have Sanchez and even I'll put Tanganga there.

The puzzling thing is why is he given so many chances when he has started so many games to prove he is good but he hasn't. And as above, why do we even need to think of putting him in another position when we have players like Sanchez and Tanganga - sacrificing them to prove his worth? The likes of Spence, Sarr and even Gil are truly the ones needing such opportunities.

Yet the likes of Dier and Hojbjerg are so widely talked about to be upgraded at any possibilities, without even such consideration of playing them in another position at all.

Yep, I said that.

My mate at work reminds me every Monday :(

I would actually take Aurier back in a heartbeat right now, thats what I think of this guy.

Fair play to him as a person though, he must know he isnt good enough, but he does keep puffing his chest out and going on. It isnt his fault he is the only real option at the moment according to Conte, so lets not get personal on him, he just is nowhere near good enough.

When Trippier went to Atletico Madrid he said the Pochettino insisted that he didn't put early crosses into the box, but instead tried to get to the byeline. That was a proper WTF eye opener for me since Trippier was outstanding with early crosses at Burnley and that was precisely why I thought we'd bought him. Ironically, Trippier and Serge Aurier would be way better fits in Conte's set up and we actually paid up Aurier's contract to get rid of him. As for Emerson, he needs to go. Would love it if we could get Porro in and we do have a nice bargaining chip with the option we have on Marcus Edwards.

Is he getting much stick in the ground?
Yes....I had an argument with the people behind me because the constant moaning is getting boring. We know he isn't a right wing back but just give the bloke a break...whilst he plays for Spurs I feel we should at least get behind him
They even slated him for making a good tackle and the ball rolls to a Liverpool. Its just wrong IMO

He looked a broken man after that awful cross. Confidence looked shot to pieces and he was substituted shortly afterwards.

Becoming a bit of a bad joke at this point. Literally every game our problems are the same. You could tell Liverpool had made an effort to target him in the first half too as they kept hitting crossfield balls to pick out Nunez in space on the left hand side. He is the obvious weak link in our team both in defence and attack and teams know about it.

Honestly - the best thing that could happen for us is that he's never seen in a Spurs shirt again. Doherty, Spence, Lucas, Kulusevski, Richarlison, Dier, Perisic, Sessegnon, Tanganga - at least nine players I can think of I'd rather see tried at RWB than ever have to watch him again.

Just watching Tripper's highlights on MOTD - talk about not knowing a good thing till it's gone.
Err some of us knew he was really good when he was here and kept saying so, despite the growing campaign to get him out because he was only 64 pace on Fifa.

The really puzzling thing is how many people are puzzled that Conte plays him over and ahead of several other options.

It's almost as if the Spurs coaching stuff with their decades of experience and titles across all Europe might have a different and perhaps more nuanced view of Emerson Royals performances than yiddo9603 on Twitter :cautious:

The whole 'Conte knows what he's doing' argument really doesn't work with his continued selection of Emerson. It was bad enough when it was just sub-par performances but it's now broken his confidence. It's like even he knows he's going to do something bad before he attempts it. Needs to be removed from the firing line for his own good.
