If the shoe is on the other foot, people would be complaining that we put such a poor offer in for a player that can be world class on his day. We're well within our rights to demand more than a petty 11-15m for him.

They really need CE now probably, Brozovic left there game v Lecce on Crutches due to nasty ankle injury, there waiting for swelling to go down before doing test on tuesday so they can have better understanding of the seriousness

It makes you wonder why no one came in for him in the summer? I am not aware that we refused any bids?

Yet Inter have a firm interest now. I guess we were demanding £40m+ in the summer and it’s now a lot more appealing.

I reckon we will get the £20m Levy is holding out for. It still represents massive value to the buying club. If they don’t pay up now, Eriksen’s agent will just demand much higher wages/signing on fees in the summer as they will know clubs are not paying a transfer fee.

Inter also then run the risk that various other clubs show an interest and they don’t get their man.

I think they will pay up.

We reportedly quoted Man Utd £80m in the summer for player in last year of contract, that is when they went away.

I think what ever offer comes in will be rejected.

With the way Jose has spoken on his future already decided, I can only assume he has a deal lined up already.

So there is no point in us trying to push him out the door, he is happy to wait until the sumer to go.

[@MirrorFootball] | Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy will reject Inter Milan’s latest bid for midfielder Christian Eriksen.

Spurs’ chairman is still refusing to accept a fee any less than the £20M valuation which the club have placed on the Danish playmaker.

This argument is only valid when we have some sort of leverage. In this situation, we do not. 11m or 14.5m or whatever is being reported now is a better deal than nothing in the summer. Anything 11m or above and we've made back what we paid for him plus profit. If we've really rejected an official bid of 11/14.5m and Inter says "sod it, we'll sign him in the summer" and we end up with an unhappy and underperforming player for another 5 months and lose him for nothing then it's horrible dealing by Levy.

Fine, if it’s peak Bale with a couple of years left on his contract. But look at the context. In less than six months, Eriksen walks anyway. And he’s not peak Bale, so isn’t going to impact significantly on our season in a positive way- if anything, he’s a hindrance.
Think of a house you own that’s got subsidence- which is impacting on your neighbours property and your liable for this- and your ownership of it expires in the summer. Why wouldn’t you get rid of it for something as quick as possible?
