Let’s hope this is a catalyst to up the ante in the transfer market a bit

It’s peanuts though in modern football. Can’t see £10-15m making much difference to our plans unfortunately.

It’s just a bit of a bonus to us when the club expected to get nothing.

Although maybe it will give us the funds to push the Benteke deal through :woot:

Levy Reject button will be like Davvinci's bass drop (for the Samburg/SNL fans out there)

£11m? Done! Always been a huge fan but he has rarely pulled up trees this season. He's desperate to leave and I think we should all move on, part as friends, and focus on trying to bring in a player or two.

Why would you want us to be fucked. How is that helpful

He’s wanted out for months!! The bids reasonable considering the circumstances. Near enough every player in his situation would just wait it out till the summer and take the big sign on fee and wages! He’s found a club that he wants and they’re willing to pay to get it done early. We literally have no negotiation power within this situation if we reject it I hope he stays and sees it out. Be completely the boards fault

This season? He hasn't played anywhere near as well as he can since the end of 2018.

[@MirrorFootball] | Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy will reject Inter Milan’s latest bid for midfielder Christian Eriksen.

Spurs’ chairman is still refusing to accept a fee any less than the £20M valuation which the club have placed on the Danish playmaker.

Phew! I was worried for a minute you were going to say it's via a Twitter news account that is quoting an opinion piece from a red-top.

It makes you wonder why no one came in for him in the summer? I am not aware that we refused any bids?

Yet Inter have a firm interest now. I guess we were demanding £40m+ in the summer and it’s now a lot more appealing.

I reckon we will get the £20m Levy is holding out for. It still represents massive value to the buying club. If they don’t pay up now, Eriksen’s agent will just demand much higher wages/signing on fees in the summer as they will know clubs are not paying a transfer fee.

Inter also then run the risk that various other clubs show an interest and they don’t get their man.

I think they will pay up.

I suspect you’re right, and taken in isolation, I have no problem with us trying to wring a bit more out of Inter with over a week of the window to go. They will want to secure his services before other clubs may get involved in the summer.

My issue is though that if our activity in this window is linked to Eriksen leaving then holding out any longer is just going to screw us over.
