If a top class technical winger became available, have I seen enough from him to say that he's not upgradable? Not just yet. But what I like about him is that he seems to be delivering end product - he's getting into the right positions and creating chances at crucial moments of games which is massive.

I wonder if he'll lose his place in the starting XI when if everyone is fit as we may play move Maddison into a more advanced wide role with Bentancur and Lo Celso in the middle, but his pace will be a great asset to bring off the bench as he'd bloody quick.

Got to be honest, and I know many will disagree, I didn’t really see Johnson do much more than Gil did today. Both players were instrumental in a goal, yes Johnson actually got the assist and Gil didn’t but I’d say Gil’s role in the first goal was just as important. Johnson did have that moment of raw pace were he put Givardiol on ice but that aside I thought he was largely anonymous and even poor at times with his decision making just like Gil. Also he really needs to work on the defensive side of the game.

I say all this not as someone who doesn’t like Johnson, I think he definitely has potential and it’s clear his pace is going to be a real threat. I just think both players need as much game time as possible and it’s far to soon to make a clear judgement on ether. Maybe Johnson ends up the better player than Gil, certainly possible, but at the moment both are raw and need refining and both have been error prone at times. But that is all to be expected imo, patience is needed.
Is there job as attacking players to be part of goals??

He's been elevated to a main player earlier than I suspect we wanted and has done well in those circumstances.

His end product is good and that's a great starting point.

He has all the raw materials to be a really brilliant player plus he has outstanding pace. I think he could develop into a star.

Loving his development, think he has the brain and the energy to be a real game changer. Thought he played well today.

He'll be a quality player I think. Only criticism today were a couple of decisions he made in shooting, if he'd picked his vision up he may have found a pass. It was wasteful after some good breaks.

But, that is being overly critical. It's all about learning and he's been fine.

I like him, imagine he can play central and on the wing . Blistering pace which is what we’ve been crying out for and very early days .

I don't even think he's fully fit yet so we haven't even seen him properly.
No, fuck that.
Let's just call him shit right now because heaven forbid we give any player a chance.

God, this place can grate at times, with the negativity and lack of support.

If he played centrally for us you could see him scoring a lot of the goals Son scores - he loves getting beyond defenders
