I'll wait until Ange mentions it in his press conference. At the very least having him off the bench is a good option.

Hopefully he’s back after the IB.
It’s always a worry when we hear ‘minor’ injuries, like GLC, which turn out to be longer.

FFS...hope Gil is fit to play, maybe we will see Donley again on the bench though
Considering he was back in full training last week one would hope he will be fit enough to at least make the bench this weekend even if he will obv be lacking match sharpness/fitness.

Not the worst thing tbh.

Gets two weeks at hotspur way too recover and get up to speed.
Agreed.

Also against what will undoubtedly be resembling an incredibly low block that Luton will deploy this will negate Johnson's biggest attribute anyway.

It's a game though where we really could have done with Perisic off the bench though.

Given the way he pulled up, he was never going to be fit for Luton and treatment over the international break was always likely the best option.

Such a shit start for him. He had trouble in pre season too I think. Hopefully he can fully recover after IB but I would be tempted to not start him for a bit. I think since he never had a full pre season and has pulled up again we need to manage his minutes for a bit. He would be a good impact sub for a few games anyway.

Was he ever injured at Forest? He seemed to play every game for them from memory. Joins us and gets injured. Bit unlucky or something else?

He went from one training regime to another. Different workloads, different intensity, different sessions. Injuries are kind of a given at this point. Chelsea have a third manager in one year and their injury numbers keep piling up.

Looks the tits

That first time header was pure awareness of his teammates, easily could've lashed the return, proper team player, provided the assist. Looks like more outstanding recruitment

Agree, love the energy he brings to the front line.
