As I said before, Forest fans feel like they were wronged on the fee. I guess that is the sign it was a fair deal, both sides feel like they were on the wrong side of the money.

Whilst you can argue we paid 10-15 mil more than his actual value, it's probably the going rate for most wingers (Gordan 40+ Palmer 42 mil)

I think he's a great signing and perfect for Ange.

He brings pace into the team that none of our front line has so helps us in transition when we beat the press. For example against Bournemouth who pressed us like crazy, when we beat that press and passed to Kulu, everything slowed down. We couldn't drive as Kulu doesn't have pace and likes to cut in. Brenan helps us big time in that department

Pretty decent at 1vs1 situations (I suggest watching him against United last game)

Pretty good at pressing non stop. He's an ideal winger for Ange's system and it's no surprise why Big Ange wanted him so much.

Not a big name signing but a pretty exciting one for Ange. One less HG problem to worry about next season as well. I hope by the end of the window we don't have to worry about HG problems anymore and overpay.

I can't get behind these 'we've overpaid' responses.

To start with that's a ludicrous assumption before he's even kicked a ball for Spurs, and it's also coming from the same people who whinge when we get priced out of a deal.

Levy isn't a good chairman when it comes to football, but on this we've spent a good load of money on a player our manager wants. Surely that's what we want him to do isn't it?

Absolutely delighted with Johnson signing.
In todays market, its next to impossible to find good right footed right wing forwards. In last 10 yrs, left footed right wingers been the norm everywhere. So, he does IMO brings something unique.
In this Ange system ,really believe his ability to take the ball outside and whip it in or cutback going to be so crucial.

Did you listen to Ange today? He made it clear any signing on the senior level he has approval on.

if he's a number 1 pick in his position for ange then that's all that matters. doesn't matter who and how much if it's all about the fit.

I am not taking any notice of what he says about the price but either way £40 odd million is the going rate for a striker particularly home grown. No doubt some people will think it's high but to offset that we got Maddison for £30 odd million when he's a 60 /70 million player any day of the week. You can't get a bargain every time sometimes you just have to anti up.
