Nah I don't mind that, like I said it's the world's game, it's their to be enjoyed by everyone, and there are some very knowledgeable bods on here from across the pond.

I just hate it when they want to change literally anything about it, including Americanising the terminology. It's a squad not a roster, we don't "play on the road" we play away from home, and the players wear shirts they don't wear fucking jerseys.
Can't wait to see us score our next PK!

No thanks, it’ll be half time shows and rolling subs next.

Ah but Tucker what about the Cheerleaders…….

With every bad comes a little bit of good! Although to be fair, imagine the cheerleaders if Stoke ever got back into the Premier League. 12 ‘Waynettas’ pounding around like a bunch of manatees out of water.

It’s a penalty not a PK! I hate they are too lazy to say the word and reduce every word to it’s initials

I’m not really fan of pre season friendlies but suffer them as they are necessary to build up match fitness. A game with nothing at stake is meaningless for both the players and fans so why would you want to watch it?

Years ago, before every summer was crammed with some bullshit UEFA/FIFA tournament, I had the idea of a small competition between the major European leagues. So any player that had ended their season in a particular league - PL, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1 etc - would be eligible to play for that league’s ‘squad’.

Like the early European nations competition, I thought maybe two groups of four teams each play each other, followed by the top two in each playing semi finals and a final. So a maximum of seven games, could all be done in three weeks or less.

Come on! It’d be fun!

Yeah the top players who already don't have any time off in the OFFSEASON I'm sure would be thrilled, what's another three weeks of meaningless games?

Actually just watching that Lakers series and in NFL and NBA the all star game is a massive big deal. I know it would mean another game but I’m quite surprised it’s never happened the obvious would be North Vs South. They could really make it into a razzmatazz affair and make a fortune off it with TV rights etc.
I've always said the same. Instead of post season friendlies they should just have a small all star tournament. TOTY from the top 4 leagues managed by the manager of the year. Would be a right laugh.

… which would be the very definition of the Nations League for me. ?

Except it doesn’t end after three weeks…
