This is what Spurscommunity is all about. We may squabble about itk and certain players but at the heart of it we are a community who look after each other. Whether it's the cancer thread, marriage break up, depression or death we always pull together and help when we can.

@spursgirls is an absolute gem who I feel blessed to know and we have legends like @Micky Hazard and Mabbsy who genuinely stand beside us.

I think we would all agree , Spurscommunity is a bigger part of our lives than we realise.

My friend, at terrible and tragic times like these when football rivalries become instantly un-important, it's important to draw your strength from all the love and messages of support you receive, not just from your own friends and family, but from a bunch of total strangers. Anyone reading your story would gladly put their virtual arms around you and David right now. I hope you and he can get a great deal of help from the wonderful people on this board. Hello everyone,

just a quick update, Dave is doing ok but still very very upset due to personal reasons to do with his son I will not disclose.

As for gestures, I’m blown away. Dave has spoken to Micky and Gary as you know who have invited him to meet the other legends at a game. Dave is also going to receive a signed Steve Perryman fa cup photo and Graham Roberts signed picture from the man himself.

As for the club itself, I emailed a lovely executive thanks to the people on here who connected me with a club charity coordinator and she has arranged a letter that will be hand signed by Nuno (or Levy) but I chose Nuno! I was also cheeky and asked for something signed by the players and the lovely lady is arranging a pennant signed by a few players to be also sent with the letter!
