I'm amazed at the negativity towards this signing. He has been one of the most consistent performers in the Premiership for a number of years and he can play in several positions including left back, which will give us back up for Assou Ekotto.
Okay he's not Phillip Lahm, but there is a slight over reaction on here.

I actually think it would be a shrewd move (putting on my tin hat here) as he can cover a range of positions and is a real leader. Adding a bit more experience for the second half of the season could prove a good move.
Neville is no world beater by any stretch but he's a solid Premier League player with mounds of experience. The sort of player who will scrap to the death.
Dont get me wrong I am not exactly excited by it but dont get all the extreme negativity by it either.
He's brutally attacked Bale in two games we've played them in, I don't want him marking him in training every day. Thug.
