Didn't realise he was only 33 (thought he was 35), it the type of signing harry has been forever trying to make since he came here, started with Bellamy, then Parker, now Neville the stereotypical 'character' or 'winner'.

I actually don't think it would such a bad signing, he has the right mentality and I'd feel more confident with him at right back than Hutton.

If Charlie leaves in order to make room in the squad for Phil Neville I think I'll be found swinging from the underside of a bridge somewhere in the early hours of 1st February.

we've already been wasting our time fecking around with Beckham so lets not waste more time trying to sign another player we don't really need and focus on a striker

Harry does know that the quote "you never win anything with kids" doesn't mean "you can't win anything with any kids". I'm sad that our targets are 33,32,36. It's fucked up. Winning mentality means fuck all when you can't run.

We're going to try and buy up one of the United title winning teams. I wonder if Cantona is available?

If this happens I'm going to make out in my brain football is a 10-man game, and ignore that right backs exist. Maybe that's what Bale does?!

Maybe he's being brought in to replace Charlie because we got a good offer for him from Juventus? i mean if we get say 7-9 million for Charlie and get Neville for 2 million theres more money to put towards a striker. It would seem like something Levy would do.

There are two reasons why Charlie will not be sold:

1) he is a very good right back with a great attitude and is willing to wait for his opportunity

2) he is luka's best friend and therefore will be kept around as another reason for our best player to stay

Phil Neville is the exact thing that I hate in football, an inferior player who spends more time kicking the opposition than the ball

But there could be a few that he could be sold......

clubs are willing to put up a good offer for him, compared to Hutton who we might be over pricing clubs out of (as we typically do)

the club sees it as a time to cash in to increase the funds for this month

the club has Kyle Walker in high regard as the RB for next season (wishful thinking)

I'm not fan of Neville either, but just looking at things from all angles.

Charlie is a different sort of rightback to walker and Hutton so will be kept as a different option

I do agree with that, but this Neville deal just screams out as a typical HR deal....experienced and cheap....much like the Gallas deal.

He's a fine player, but why waste our time and whatever money (even if it's little) on a right-back.

This had better be a bloody wind up!

We can't be serious about signing Neville to play at Right back, he's absolutely woeful there. He's far to slow and his positioning is awful. The Everton fans don't mind him when he plays as a defensive midfielder but he's been nothing short of calamitous for them at RB.

If we do sign him i'm going to have to go into hiding or change my name as my Toffee brother will have a field day taking the pi$$!
