Tottenham are weighing up a shock move to bring Paul Robinson back to White Hart Lane, skysports.com understands.
Robinson,
spacer.gif
who left Spurs for Blackburn in the summer of 2008, has been in superb form for Rovers this season and has played a key role in helping them to seventh spot in the Premier League.
The 31-year-old's performances have not gone unnoticed by former club Spurs with Harry Redknapp

still unsure over his goalkeeping options at the club.
Heurelho Gomes

is currently No.1 at White Hart Lane,

but it has been suggested Redknapp is yet to be fully convinced the Brazilian is the long-term solution between the sticks.
Carlo Cudicini

is out of contract at the end of the season and he could leave the club after failing to establish himself in the side.
Blackburn are determined to keep Robinson as they plan for the future and they are thought to have opened talks with the former Leeds man about a new deal at Ewood Park to ward off potential suitors.
Tottenham are thought to be monitoring Robinson's situation at Blackburn with the shot-stopper recapturing the form that made him England's No.1 keeper.

I hope this doesn't mean that Gomes has a long term problem, he was fantastic for us in the run in last year.

I'd also be surprised if Blackburn would let Robbo go, he has been great for them.

What absolute toss. Who was our keeper when Harry came in? Gomes. Who is our keeper over 2 years later? Gomes. If Harry didn't think he was up to it he'd have replaced him a long long time ago.

Yep, lets bring back at gk who is even worse than gomes at crosses and has a tendency of been beaten by the 30 plus yard club. Great shot stopper though.

Great shot stopper Eek Every goal we conceded when Robbo was in goal was a goal-of-the-month contender.

Wahahahaha...we could wave bye bye to any chance of top 4 if this guy is allowed to dive over balls at the lane again.

This joke's scary.

These rumours about Harry being unconvinced by Gomes resurface regularly. I wouldn't be surprised if they were true. The most annoying thing about Gomes is his pathetic distribution. Robinson excels in that department.

Long balls to crouch's head all day then?

The guy has a long kick but is shit in goal.

That's it really. :-|

Let's get one thing straight here-I can't stand Peter Crouch.

What I'm saying is that Gomes's distribution is pants.

Perhaps Robbo's form has improved. I wouldn't know-I wouldn't watch Blackburn if you paid me. I always like him but I felt he had to be moved on. He really was appalling for us towards the end.

Unless Gomes gets back to his 2009-2010 form soon then he'll need reviewing in the summer. Not been good enough this season. Seems to make a big mistake every game. Don't know what's happened to him - one of the league's best last year with the potential to be so again. Need him and Tony Parks to get back to what they were doing before. Cudicini is crap.

Robbo was excellent for a couple of years, and still got a soft spot for him, but this would be daft, particularly for what he'd cost.
