Also, the perfomances against them are picking up. Under Ramos, I think only the Chelsea away game is one where we weren't really in it.

I've often said that to go where we want to go, our record in these games has to improve, well it's started happening and if the trends continues, we can look forward to a big season next year. The future, right now, really does look good. Long may it continue.

One Jaunde Ramos, there's only one Jaunde Ramos

i said on another forum that after watching him for the past 2 yrs regularly as the sevilla manager, and watching how he dealt with the top 2 in Real Madrid and Barcelona, he shows them no fear, he tells his team to go out and play to their strengths, and he just makes simple adjustments during the match to make sure they win the games.

His record against the top 2 in Spain for Sevilla was pretty good. So him coming here i knew he would have a battle plan to take down the top 4. It seems to me that he needs a game to get to grips with how the top managers get their teams to play, and then Ramos figures out how to beat them.

The man utd league match was a perfect example we lost to them in the cup, and then the following week Ramos changed his tactics to combat Ferguson's tactics and we should have beaten them except for the unlucky own goal.

Arsenal once again the game at the emirates we were unlucky to lose, who played Arsenal recently Sevilla under Ramos.

Chelsea we played them at Stamford Bridge we lost, but in the Cup Ramos countered Chelsea's tactic's and we won not only did we win, we played them off the park.

Tactically Ramos is amazing, and long may it continue. The Top 4 had better be watching their backs, as we will be gunning for them next season.

The performances are certainly improving, on Sunday it was the first time I ever thought that we could actually turn the game around against the likes of Chelsea. The players looked as if they believed. Ramos has done a superb job, without really adding much to the team.

This is the first time at this stage of the season that we know we'll be in Europe, and that we can target players already. People say that this is only the Carling cup, but for a club like ours, hopefuly on the way up, it's the most important cup of season.

yeah ive also been watching seville for 2 years and i agree that ramos has this 'no fear' mentallity, and if you hear some of his recent interviews he always talks about belief which i think a lot of players suffered from before

Ramos only needs 1 game to suss out the opposition. Generally the 1st game he's had against the big 4 he's lost like man utd, arsenal and chelsea but our results have always improved after that point as well as the performances. There is a genuine belief amonngs the players and fans that the gap is closing.

A little-known fact: under Fruitini, Jol and Ramos our away record against the 'Big Four' is better than Liverpool's under Benitez (except in their case it's the 'Big Three'). Their draw against Chelsea the other week was the first point they've gained in four seasons.

If we had held on against pool and man usa we would have beaten all 4 of the "top 4" this season.

In games this season we deserved a draw away at man u in the league and should have won in the cup
should have won at emirates after playing them off of the park for 70 minutes, should have won in the first leg of the cc semi by about 4 goals, DID win in the home leg by 4 goals

should have won at liverpool

should have beaten man u at home in the league.

Really Chelsea away was our only poor game and that had alot to do with injuries. But we will remedy that by beating them in the league having already done so in the cup. In our last 10 or so games against chelsea, we have won 2 (soon to be 3) drawn 3 and lost 5. In the last 6 we have won 2, drawn 1 and lost 3.

There is no question that we now have the belief that we can beat those teams.

I don't imagine that Chelsea or Liverpool are relishing coming to the lane before the end of the season!
