He's as much entitled to an opinion as you are. Not sure anyone's questioning how good a defender you were for Tottenham tbh.

Not when all he’s doing is perpetuating negativity by saying the fans don’t want him. Especially when it’s not true.

Maybe just maybe Ange was always the first choice or it was a straight shootout between him and Slot. If he was there was no way they would make that public and there was zero chance he would leave before the season was up

Talking to JN was just an opportunist move and everyone else I now think was just noise.

I hope Spurs PR machine make a lot of noise about it if this is the case.

I'm really excited by Ange. The one concern I have is if the players / fans think he was way down on the list then he may not get the buy-in or time he needs.

The players.... ahhhh yes.... they can f*** off :) ... the majority of our players are "down on the list" ... not many of them have earned the right to be protected when Ange comes in... he already has a headstart there IMO.

Since when did Vega appoint himself as a man who should be listened to?

A few dissenting voices is all there were, like with any appointment. All he's going is stoking the fires of negativity. You'd think with how bad a defender he actually was he would have a bit more self awareness.
🤣🤣 could you imagine Twitter and the match day threads if Vega was playing now🤣🤣.

I'm sure they'll say in a statement something along the lines of him being a 'standout candidate' during the process.

Tbh I think the process has been fine and we've got to a decent outcome and good fit with Big Ange.

Considering we could've ended up with Glasner, Galtier, Rodgers, M.Silva, T.Frank etc etc I'm happy with Big Ange, he and Slot are similar in terms of their styles of play and personalities, both just the clubs needs. JN wasn't ever realistic.

Looking forward to the PR around big Ange, he handles the media really really well which is very important especially in this day and age, will be complete opposite of Nuno Mr i'll make you proud 30 seconds max time with any presser. Big Ange will probably actually genuinely make us proud and excited to support the club again.

Well I hope Paddy power are quick to pay me my shitty £245
Was the bet Next Permanent Manager or Manager for Tottenham's first game of the 2023/4 season? Because if it's the latter, you'll be waiting a little bit yet.

To be fair to Vega

He was dangerous in both our own and the oppositions penalty area :cautious:

Looking forward to welcoming Ange when it's official

No preconceived ideas as to how he will get on, I'm looking forward to us being on the front foot and increasing our possession stats for starters

Hopefully most of those players that might not buy in are on their way out

We have some real dross that needs clearing out

I feel unnervingly optimistic about this appointment. The little I've seen and know of him I really like. It does feel a bit like Poch again.

Celtic fans are a nice mix of very sad and very bitter. Which is always a good thing.

Full backing from me and let's hope we can finally get out from under all this doom, gloom and negativity.

Fuck Levy still though and he gets zero credit for this appointment even if it's a success.

IMO it feels more than a Poch appointment. In addition to having possibly the feel good factor in uniting the club and team like Poch, but if there are anything to go by according to the articles and videos knowing more about him, he's like a tactical approach of Slot, temper of Conte if he's pissed, and fatherly/cuddly figure of Redknapp/BMJ. I really think the players will look up to him and run through walls for him.
