Someone who’s job it is to sculpt media narratives complaining about the out of control media narratives. Here's the tweet - as ever take with a massive pinch of salt - updated so her numbers aren't visible
They genuinely don’t seem to understand that the ‘product’ (to use appropriately cynical terminology) is what happens during those 90 minutes on the pitch - not the stadium, not the merchandise, not the beer or the food, not even the ‘fan experience’. That’s all just window dressing at best. At worst it’s abject vanity.Nobody in that meeting done the calculation of increase in profits, tv appearances, fan increase, merchandise sales and sponsorships in relation to teams who win things Incredible really.
Appointing Mason could honestly relegate us mate. Here goes.
I think given the PR of the club right now externally. The ‘working progress’ (to try and put it optimistically) of the internal structure, the fact most of that structure is new and above all else the broken culture.
The path forward might have to start with a step back. I’m coming to the realisation that we aren’t simply an attacking coach away from solving our problems. It would be a plaster. We need more than anything to regroup, heal, get back to our core values and start again. That takes time and patience.
That’s one of the key reasons that I think what we need more than anything is someone that is proper Spurs. Someone to oversee a transformation. Giving the other areas of the club the time and space to establish themselves. Whilst also refining and revolutionising the core of our squad for life after Kane and Son (as depressingly sobering as that may be).
I know I’ve banged this drum before (to wide disagreement ) but I think Mason is the man to deliver those things we need. We don’t know yet if he could be the next Pep, but I think we know enough to say he wouldn’t embarrass himself or us.
they say football goes in 3 year cycles. Perhaps we need to focus this cycle on establishing a strong foundation
I don’t fucking know. All I do know is the chasing the dragon approach of the last 3 years has been the most miserable of my entire Spurs supporting life. A dose of mediocrity and green shoots could be the bitter medicine that we need and we could find our love for the club and football again.
Tbh I don’t mind sharing it, I e-mailed the whole board a while back after the disaster of summer of 2021’s managerial search about them losing touch with the clubs DNA and roots and style of play. I care deeply about this club and invest a huge amount of my time and energy supporting them home & away.Did she sign that one
“Donna M
Donna Marie Cullen”
too?
I’m sat here, seething and in my pants. Couched in darkness, my features illuminated only by rays of Dharmesh Sheth. The curtains are still open and I’m on my third scotch. Waiting, for a fucking explanation.
My issue is it should never get to the point where we have to settle for Rodgers or the like.At this point I am not sure I would not rather have Rogers.
- knows the league
- successfully managed clubs at least the size of Spurs
- can play reasonable football
He may not be many first choices but if you are looking for someone who won't be out of their depth, would probably want to be here and, won't be heading off to Madrid if the opportunity arose, I am not sure who would be better.
I doubt the fanbase would be thrilled, mind, but a solid sensible choice would be a change.
The Transfer window opens in 20 days, and the season starts in 79 - and we have neither a DOF nor manager. No way is this worse than 2021
firstly there are more manager options now.
secondly season has not even ended so we have more time.
People have already settled for Mason and he's got way less experience! Not that I'd be bowled over with Brendan TBF.My issue is it should never get to the point where we have to settle for Rodgers or the like.

Tbh I’m not sure I buy all of that.Rodgers is only slightly better than Potter - and they would both be terrible picks for Spurs.
If we hire Rodgers we are in big trouble because it means that Levy has not decided what direction to take the team. Rodgers is not going to get more from the current players, and he is not the manager you want for a re-build.
He screams "Status Quo" where status quo is actually falling further behind the league leaders.
Tbh I’m not sure I buy all of that.
Rodgers is by no means my first choice BUT if we couldn’t get and/or the following Managers didn’t want to move, then Rodgers ticks the PL experience box, his teams play good to watch football generally and he’s over performed for 2 seasons everywhere he’s been before then it fizzling out.
If we can’t for whatever reason get any of : JN, Poch, De Zerbi, Slot, Ange.P, Kompany, then Rodgers comes under that next bracket of Managers and if we got him and he convinced Maddison and Barnes for example and we signed a GK and CB, we could start to look half decent.
As I said, Rodgers by no means my first choice but the stick he gets on here making out he’s useless imo is ridiculous, he’s a very very good football manager and has proved that everywhere he’s been for the most part.
I actually agree. I really don’t fancy any of the remaining candidates. At this point I am not sure I would not rather have Rogers.

Please tell me we aren't at the point where people are rationalising spurs employing a character from sharks tale...Tbh I’m not sure I buy all of that.

Fair enough mate yea that’s a different story then.he's a good manager. I just detest him.
