The last few minutes of the Sky Ramon Vega interview were absolutely spot on, " Daniel Levy and the rest of the board need to start trusting football people"
It's on You Tube, you get a sense that he's more in the know about how badly the structure is on the football side.
Wish Vega had put the boot in a bit more when he played for us, might have got above 12th 😅

His points are valid

Rodgers is partly responsible for Leicester's plight.

He started falling out with the squad after the Forest game in the FA Cup last year.

He should have walked away because he was clearly just waiting to pick up his severance package yet he completely ran out of ideas - which he always does.

Also, once he gets his fins right into a club's recruitment he totally messes it up.

Data analysts warned against signing players like Vestergaard because they showed he'd struggle in his system.

Rodgers went around them - and I think they may have quit too? He also benched Soncku and Leicester fans say he was their best defender.

He spent the last 8 or so months of his tenure doing absolutely nothing to arrest the slide.

Maybe he'll get us clicking for a year but give it time and people will start to turn on him and it'll be a spectacular fall off like weve just seen with Conte.

Amorim would have much more longevity

Completely agree. There is no way that a team containing Ndidi, Tielemans, Maddison, Barnes, Vardy, Daka, Soumare etc should be 3rd from bottom and 1 game away from relegation....no way do I want Rodgers at this club.

This is going to end up like Nuno, our manager should be announced on Monday morning.
So what has Daniel been working on since Conte left.

Rodgers is only slightly better than Potter - and they would both be terrible picks for Spurs.

If we hire Rodgers we are in big trouble because it means that Levy has not decided what direction to take the team. Rodgers is not going to get more from the current players, and he is not the manager you want for a re-build.

He screams "Status Quo" where status quo is actually falling further behind the league leaders.

How many trophies has Potter won?

Why are Brighton playing like Barca since Potter left?

Aimless club is going nowhere. I dont think folks appreciate how unappealing the Spurs gig is right now. Funny how people turn their noses up at the likes of Poch, Rodgers, Potter....we'd be hard pressed to get any of them. We're in a real hole now, and after Kane leaves it'll be deeper.

I pity the poor fucker who takes this job on. And it seems only has beens or yet to be anything, like Mason, would want it. Because it is a largely devoid of leadership and structure on and off the pitch.

I think Potter would be pretty good tbh.
Even if he would be, he'd be doomed before he even steps on the pitch for the first game next season. This process has ensured that whoever is next is going to have a hell of a time getting the fanbase on board. And Potter with his recent Chelsea experience would get it right in the neck.

Turning up to a meeting and then finding the numbers have been changed?

Sounds like Levy got Levy’d.
This is the thing though; Levy’s total lack of self awareness. If he was in charge of Feyenoord he would have done exactly the same as they did. Why then the surprise?

I've never ever ever wanted Potter don't see the craze..... BUT if we going nowhere as a club over the next 4 or so years then hell I'll accept him over the Aussie guy or some other random manager from Italy.

Yes. Money talks.
Disagree. Slot is gone and we need to move on. Sounds like we also tried to get their sporting director which also didn't work. We had to go in hard and strong and get it right first time but that is not the DL way and that ship has now sailed. They have CL football to look forward to with a team that has so much potential and is still growing so all the best to them.

The Nagelsmann situation on the other hand is still recoverable but that would take one hell of a pivot and a lot of dough to pull off following the totally unnecessary public denial a couple of weeks ago. As we were not prepared to pay the going rate for Slot, and knowing Bayern want to recover as much compensation as they can for JL, I can't see how he would cost any less especially as we are in a weaker negotiating position given the public Slot rejection.

Let's see.

Not aimed direct at you but getting fed up with this.
He has a fucking name.
It has been mentioned enough times.
It is Ange Postecoglou.
If that's too hard you can shorten it to just Ange.
It is just getting a bit disrespectful.

I see people saying things like this, but even how bad it feels at the moment it's no need to make it worse than it is.
If it's Brendan Rodgers he'll keep us top 10 for sure.
A Kane-less Spurs, with minimal changes to the squad, and Brendan Rodgers in charge, is my real worry for next season. Rodgers would have very, very little goodwill from the fans and the atmosphere could become quickly horrible. Remember, Leicester won the league a few years ago, and they're going to get relegated, with him partly in charge. Anyone who thinks that Spurs, with an angrier fan base and a less competent set-up, can't suffer a similar fall from grace has got their heads buried in the sand.

Tbh I’m not sure I buy all of that.

Rodgers is by no means my first choice BUT if we couldn’t get and/or the following Managers didn’t want to move, then Rodgers ticks the PL experience box, his teams play good to watch football generally and he’s over performed for 2 seasons everywhere he’s been before then it fizzling out.

If we can’t for whatever reason get any of : JN, Poch, De Zerbi, Slot, Ange.P, Kompany, then Rodgers comes under that next bracket of Managers and if we got him and he convinced Maddison and Barnes for example and we signed a GK and CB, we could start to look half decent.

As I said, Rodgers by no means my first choice but the stick he gets on here making out he’s useless imo is ridiculous, he’s a very very good football manager and has proved that everywhere he’s been for the most part.
Imagine of all the posts here Levy was directed to read, he chanced upon this 2nd paragraph and that gave him the belief Rodgers is the right one 🤣

Agreed. I reckon that our CL final four years ago probably makes Levy think that making us great again should be an easy fix for any half decent manager. I do not believe he understands how much Poch overachieved.
