Everyone grumbles at their own, though we've made something of an art of it--on the other hand, I really think that we are the most passionate supporters in the EPL. We may slag off the boys (I've been guilty a few times myself), but we get behind them like no one else.

Those supporters who moan are prob the ones who are calling for a 80,000 seater ground for us to move too.

Dick heads.

I also get the impression that most of them have never played football before (i aint talking Prem League level). Even if you have played Sunday league of Sat afternoon football you dont make comments like 'Go forward you fucking idot, not backwards'

I do wonder why some people bother going to watch the game if all they are gonna do is moan??? :bang:

one thing I'd like to stress is that I've nothing against people going *****ing hell (insert player's name) or whatever if someone messes up - that's natural - I do it myself

it's the campaigns against certain players and people spending more time moaning than cheerning & being supportive that's what I hate

:???:

didn't you say the atmosphere was pants last night but louder than when we gave arse a drumming :-|

i was actually block 39 seat 42, quite near you. and yes, you were very noisey.

I am block 39 row 9. did you know that or is it a massive coincidence?

and last night, i had a griping stomach ache, so apart from a couple of chants, i was very quiet last night.

I agree with you there. The JJ bashing has p1ssed me off more thananything, the guy is absolutely so so important to us, but certain muppets dont see it.

You dont have to play to have a certain level of understanding but i totally agree with you. I played for years at a decent level, and its so blatantly obvious that 2 of the 3 doughnuts that sit in front of me have never ever played

There's a reason why Bent gets groans and moans when he gets the ball.

He's useless and doesn't suit our style of football
. If you're happy to see long humps forward for Bent to chase then I guess we've got the best exponent. He's never going to have vision, incisiveness, creativity, good touch or composure.

Groooooooaannn.

Complete nonsense followed by such sense. Eek

He's not useless, he's very good at what he does, running the channels, chasing loose balls and yes, chasing long and hopeless balls.

But you're right. He doesn't suit our style of play. But what happens when our style of play isn't working? What happens when we need to turn the defense? Bent's our man.

He's also young, and is still learning. He's played up top on his own pretty much all his career.

As for not having a good touch or composure. He is a proven premier league scorer. He hasn't lost that overnight. His touch isn't Berbatov's but it's much better than a Jermain Defoe.

few points, firstly maybe Bent is passing backwards as he is aware of the moaning and groaning and doesn't want to be seen to be giving the ball away.

Secondly moaning and groaning is one thing and it does piss me off but that is more reactionary (if that is a word its spelt wrong !) its the knob heads calling Lee Ping pong and that kind of behaviour that really pisses me off !

good points KS - a nervous player is more likely to go for the safe pass - also I think the word you want is reactive or some variant thereof :)

re the groaning & nervousness of the crowd transmitting itself to the players - if people spent more time singing there'd be less time for the collective groans

I vividly remember the fantastic Beskitas supporters and the South Koreans in the World Cup - they were too busy singing, chanting etc to be moaning and transmitting general negative vibes round the ground

Even at the Arsenal game where I was singing cheering for majority of game too many people were being nervous and quiet till the last ten mins or so - it doesn't help the team - sing your hearts out for the lads - it's the best way to help the teamr

fair enough Juande :) I commend your long support too and sympathise with your points and basically agree - I think we're on the same wavelength here really, it's just maybe you're more resilient than me -

incidentally lack of funds also prevents me from getting to games as well

I just wish the Lane could be more celebratory

I have a feeling that if we can keep hold of Mr Ramos, then we may be in for a good ride.

And i agree about the lack of funds, my kids just have bread and water so that there selfish dad can go to spurs :rofl:
