I’d love to see a report that Mourinho has compiled for Levy as to the players he needs to win something next year. I think we all have an idea of the positions (RB, CB, DCM, CF), but to see the 2-3 names he will have suggested for each position would be fascinating.

The thing is he has made it clear that he understands the clubs financial position and is on board with the fact that there will be no 50/60/70 million pound players and he will have to be realistic with his demands . I think he relishes the chance to prove that you can be successful without taking the club to the financial brink .I would not put it past him to prove himself a big success and therefore spurs will be a big success .

Anyone else notice in pressers he says "apart of" instead of "apart from", his english is bloody amazing and I can't speak a word of Portuguese so I have no leg to stand on but just makes me laugh when he says this and its a funny thing to get wrong when he has such an impressive range of vocabulary for someone speaking a language which is not their 1st language.

Makes sense as the words "from" and "of" are the same in Portuguese.

I'm sorry I wasn't specific enough. Plenty of English adults still say, and type, "should of" instead of "should have". Is that also perfectly fine or is my eyesight also not as great as my lust for grammar?

I do like a good lust over grammar every now and then.

This.

I have had the feeling that the Spurs job in its current guise is going to be a huge troll for Mourinho.
Luckily he's not trolling us, he's going to be trolling everyone else that calls him a cheque book manager, a has been manager, a manager that can't adapt.
He'll make it his raison d'etre to win us titles and show everyone else that's he's the top dog once again. Win at all costs and prove them wrong again and again

Jose said last year " the best managers do not always win it is the managers that can adapt " he came to this conclusion after reading Sarwins theory of evolution . He will adapt to what our club can provide and take it from there and I am hugely impressed by him .

Don’t worry, we’ll be getting to the b and c choices in about a month or two’s time so we will find out eventually!

Mourinho knows exactly what he's doing coming to us, and he certainly wouldn't come here if he knew he couldn't be successful.
And whilst he'll know Levy's plans to grow the club further he must be confident he doesn't need too much money short term.

And why should he?
In Son, Kane, Alli, and Moura he has 4 players who are capable of scoring 60 goals (when they're not injured) between them, enough to challenge the top 4 on their own.
These are the big money positions so he doesn't have to do anything there.

His focus is just on making us hard to break down and, hopefully, giving us a bit more control in the middle.
He's already shown he can make us harder to break down.
And if PEH can give us that control I think we may surprise a few people next year and Jose knows he'll be seen as the second coming from a fanbase who are mentally pre-disposed to think the worst.

Mr. "GuaRenTEeD TRoPhiEs" loses out to a rookie with zero prior experience and an inferior squad. Have you been missold a manager? You may be owed compensation!
